THE CHOICE HAS BEEN MADE! Top Specialty Food of the Year 2017
As you know, each year I name a Top Specialty Food of the Year. Last year our Top Specialty Food of the Year 2016 was Dave’s Killer Bread–Good Seed Bread. Now, they don’t know who I am and have never sent me anything. I just discovered Dave’s Good Seed bread on my own at my local Sam’s club. Visit the review here to discover why I and my whole family are still hooked on this marvelous bread.
This year choice for Top Specialty Food of the Year 2017 was a tough one as there were many great foods in the running. Walt and I have sampled an exceptional selection of Fancy Food and Specialty Food this year, probably well over 100 items. See our previous reviews for this year:

The base of the spreads is organic sesame seeds that is slowly ground in stone wheels for hours, with dates, carob, figs and beets. These spreads are vegan, paleo, and don’t contain any gluten, preservatives, dairy, nuts or added sugar. They are an incredible substitute for peanut butter. I love all the varieties that I have tried and I am sure I would enjoy them all! Flavors include:
- Fig

- Pomegranate

I like this one the best I think. amazon.com/Gift-Baskets-Nuts-Basket-7-Sectional/dp/B00KCCKV8W/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1515030844&sr=1-3-spons&keywords=gourmet+food&psc=1. It is the assorted nuts
I like the Planters Nut 24 Count-Variety Pack, 2 Lb 8.5 Ounce because the bags are a great size for snacks and all my favorite types of nuts are included.
I would love the Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend Coffee for K-cup Pods, Medium Roast, For Keurig Brewers, 60 Count. My husband bought me a Keurig for Christmas and I love the Dunkin coffee. Thanks
Dave’s Killer Bread–Good Seed Bread is really so great, I always keep it at home.
I love Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salt. I think it tastes delicious and I use it all the time. It doesn’t hurt that it is a beautiful pink color.
I would love to try the Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salt, 2lbs Extra-Fine Grain.
I like the raw honey. My son uses it in everything.
I am loving Nutiva Organic Chia Seed, Black, 32 Ounce! They are the superfoods of the smallest size! I use them every morning in my smoothie, and not only do they make them thicker, they pack them FULL of nutrients that help me get through the day without going HANGRY (It’s a word my husband and I made up for when we are SO hungry, we get angry, hence the word HANGRY lol) It doesn’t take much of them either! I only use about a half a tablespoon, or half of the scoop I use, and they have no taste at all! So they don’t ruin the fruity taste of my smoothie! Seriously, if you haven’t tried Chia Seeds yet, do so NOW! And Nutiva Organic Chia Seed, Black, 32 Ounce is less than $8! You can’t find them any cheaper than that! Thanks for sharing! xoxoJJ
Ooohhhh I would love to receive the Nut Cravings Holiday Christmas Large Gourmet Food Nuts Gift Basket, 7-Section Holiday or Anytime Assorted Nuts Gift Basket!! I mean who doesn’t love nuts and this has 7 kinds of nuts and a total of 2 lbs!! YUM!!
I love Annie’s Macaroni and Cheese, Bunny Pasta. I’ve had it a number of times and it always hits the spot when I’m craving mac & cheese.
I love using the Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. It has a delicious coconut flavor, unlike some other coconut oils I’ve used.
I like the Secret Aardvark Habanero Sauce, 8 fl oz because I love spicy foods!
I would love to try the AeroGarden Harvest 2015 with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit so that we can grow our own herbs for cooking.
I like the Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salt. There are not enough pink ingredients in my kitchen
I love the Himalayan pink salt ghee butter. It’s so rich and delicious to cook with or to put on top of anything. There’s nothing better than salty and buttery.
I am loving the UTZ pork rinds! These are so good! 😃😃
I’d like the raw Homey because it’s 100% Pure, Raw, and Unfiltered honey and Made by American Bees.
The Organic Spinach Pasta looks so good! I used to buy spinach pasta a lot but it’s getting harder to find these days in my local stores.
I’d like to get their Vita Coco Coconut Water. I’ve bought it before at Aldi’s and love it but thought it’d be more expensive getting it online since it’s a liquid/heavier
I love the Nutiva Organic Chia Seed, Black, 32 Ounce bag. It’s perfect to just add a little bit of chia seed to everything to boost the nutritional value!
