Monroe and Main for Spring — One Dress Three Ways
Monroe and Main has been featuring this stunning geometric dress on their site for spring. The second I saw it, I knew it must be mine! Aren’t there just certain items you see and you just KNOW you will wear them over and over?
Even though it’s the dead of winter…yes, 2 degrees outside, this dress is just stunning with this black top coat and suede vintage booties. It’s just the punch of needed color for this dreary time of year.
This sheath style dress is the perfect cut for my hourglass figure. It minimizes the bust, skims over the bumps and ends at the perfect point just above the knee.
With the plethora of colors in this dress, I can choose almost any shoe, sweater or piece of jewelry in my closet and I can make the dress look totally different. Here’s a few other very different looks.
In the elegant look above, I have turned the dress into a top, pairing it with a lined tulle skirt. How’s that for variety?
Here I strike a more casual pose, and the dress moves effortlessly into that realm as well. The slightly above the knee length enables me to wear the Monroe and Main Geometric dress with high shoes and not look trampy or low shoes and not look frumpy.

I really like Glamour-Zine Blogger’s making it less “mom-like”. I really like it because I’m a mom of 2 toddlers and it would work for me.
I like Kristyn K.’s look the best because it is a lot like my style, especially the day look. 😉
I like Kristin K’s looks because they look like things I would actually wear.
I really like the “Make Your Outfit Less Mom-Like” post. Thanks!
I like Kristyn K.’s make your outfit less mom-like look. It looks comfortable and I love the color of the scarf. It’s something I could see myself in.
I am dying over this dress! It looks amazing on you!!
RIGHT??? I just knew it would be THAT essential piece! Shelley
I like your look the best. I am looking for a dressy dress and this skirt and black blouse is perfect. I am always cold so the jacket is the icing on the cake! Very classy!
I love all the looks but I think Kristyn’s does it for me!
I could totally use a makeover like the Make Your Outfit Less “Mom-Like” look. I am stuck in a yoga pant rut! 🙂
i would look good in that dress!
I like Broken Teepee because we have the same earthy taste.
I liked “Make your outfit less mom-like” by Kristyn.
I definitely need to dress more mom-like LOL
I like the Simplify your life with Kirstin Marie looks best. For me, the jacket looks great with both looks and they are totally different, one casual and one dressy.
I really like Kristyn K’s “make your outfit less mom-like” because it is something I’d really enjoy wearing.
I like Rebekah F’s look because it would look good on me.
I really liked 2 of the looks, Yours-Shelley because I just love that skirt. The second one that I really like is Rebekah’s, I love the way the top drapes the body.
Thanks Kelly, I just was mad for this outfit too! The CHief Blonde
I like Katie’s School Day to Holiday Glam look because it seems like something I would wear.
I liked this make you outfit less mom-like
I like Patty W’s Start with a Great Basic. I think the shirt is very flattering and can be dressed up or down.
I like the – Start with a great basic with Broken Teepee blog. That topper is perfect as I love the color red and it will look great casual or over a dress for evening.
