The Chief Blonde is Ready For Spring!
After saying Bye Bye to Winter, The Chief Blonde sheds her coat and adds some Hanes Legwear
Finally! Winter is heading out the door and I can get ready for spring. In Michigan, the first thing we do is ditch our coats..but it’s still plenty cold here. You can’t just start running around in summer dresses and flip flops just yet. Many women over 45, like to start wearing dresses or fancy shoes that you just can’t wear in the winter months. But you can’t just let your bare legs hang out! Brr..it’s too cold yet. My solution? I wear Legwear! Knee highs, thigh highs, tights and pantyhose are my choices. In this outfit post, all my products are from Hanes.
The Chief Blonde is wearing Safari Jacket — Sam’s Club, Pants — The Loft, Ann Taylor Shoes, and Hanes Control Top Silky Sheer Pantyhose in Nude (under $6).
Heading off to a blogging event the Chief Blonde is wearing a DKNY beaded pointelle sweater (old), Eshakit dress ($89), Bally of Switzerland Shoes (vintage), and Hanes Control Top Silky Sheer Pantyhose in Sun Beige (under $6).
Heading off to a dinner with her wonderful Husband Walt, the Chief Blonde sports a glittery top from Old Navy ($19). Vintage Vest from Salvation Army ($1), handmade leather belt, Skirt –the Loft, Boots — the Loft, Tattoo Steel Bracelet c/o Emma Parker ($89), Vintage Turquoise Pins, and Hanes Lace Thigh High Hoisery in Jet Black(under $6)
I adore Hanes Legwear and Pantyhose and have wore them elsewhere on my blog >>Here<<. Hanes Legwear is affordable (all styles under $6), with a huge selection of style option and shades. I tried the styles and colors mentioned above in the outfits and also Hane’s seamless tights. I can rave about the tights too but I didn’t get a picture of them (we were late for church!) Plus, Hanes legwear doesn’t roll at my “Muffin Top waist”–in fact the pantyhose controls it. I also never get ankle sag with Hanes Legwear. I have scary white alabaster skin so I pretty much wear legwear all through the year except for summertime. Hanes is my go to brand! How about you?
Do you wear Legwear as a transitional Spring Piece?
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I am not a fan of nude hoisery so I wear tights or leggings and wait for the warmer months to go bare
I don’t tend to wear pantyhose and what not. If it is cold you will find me with a pair of leggings (and I do have some from Hanes) on and a pair of boots.
love to add legging to make a different outfit!
I used to wear Hanes pantyhose and leggings when I lived in NYC but now that I’m in Cali it’s considered unfashionable but I still like how nice it makes your legs look and I would wear them more often if I could.
love the boots!
I definitely use legwear as a transitional piece. I move from tights to light colored textured hose.
I only wear in the winter and until my legs get some sun…=)
Hanes is the absolute best! i have tried more expensive brands and been let down.Hanes last me a long time and are the most comfortable hands down.
I wore Hanes when I lived in Atlanta much cooler there then where I live now . Too warm too wear them here in Arizona. It is great legwear too wear for sure
I don’t jog and cycle just to hide my legs. Unless it’s been a while since my last date with Gilette
love the first outfit, i wear legwear for all season except summer
I now wear thigh high with or without a garter if needed. I love the look and the comfort.
I am strange in the sense that I love legwear. Tights, nylons, leggings… some people find it too binding, but I love wearing it. I think my favorite thing to do is layer for warmth. Quite often, I wear sweater tights under leggings (or even jeans) for an extra layer in the winter.
Always listen to your mother! 🙂 Mothers are always right.
I love that second outfit. Very pretty.
The leg wear looks great! Hanes is a great company!
I wear legwear fall thru spring…and still wearing this spring bbecause still sooo cold! 🙁
I only wear legwear in the late spring and summer. But, I love the styling. I can see me wearing some of this.
I only wear in the colder months as well.
I love everything Hanes makes, and their pantyhose are great quality, they never run when I do wear them.
