I am TOTALLY SICK OF WINTER. I have had it…. I want flip flops, sundresses and drinks on the back verandah! We’ve had a pretty mild winter here in my part of the midwest, but enough already..OKAY??
When I used to live in Switzerland, the snow would disappear March 1 and the flowers would start to come up all over the yard and garden. I actually had a yard full of Marguerite Daisys covering the front yard! My neighbor did too, and we wouldn’t cut the lawn until May! It was just a sea of Daisys.

So when I tell you, I am done done done with Winter…Do you see why?
I am going to let Patty Smyth sing it for ME! Every time she says “YOU” substitute the word “Winter” and then the song is mine! Goodbye to You is one of the best songs ever and definitely a great MTV 80s videos (when they still played MUSIC 1982!) . Women over 45, you remember this one, don’t you?

I am extremely excited that Winter is going bye, bye too! We got a bit of a taste of Spring this weekend and now it’s cold again…but only for a few days. You are so darn photogenic! I love your winter coat! Great song. 🙂
While I feel your pain, I am still jealous. I have not seen snow outside of my deep freeze in a few years, and lavish in the days when it gets into the low 80’s here, or mid 70’s at night. At least you are dealing with the cold in a fashionable way accompanied by great music!

Oh I am SO over winter too! I grew up in Wyoming. Winter didn’t end until the end of April. Spring didn’t happen until the end of May. Summer started end of June. Fall started in August. Yeah, I hate living in this climate. lol. When I lived in Germany; oh my goodness I loved it. Spring came early! Fall came late. I was in HEAVEN! And now I”m back in Idaho where the snows just won’t go away!

That coat is gorgeous! It looks warm and cozy, and if it’s real, and not faux like one I have, I’m hoping it’s not a static generator that leaves you wincing any time you touch, well, anything (another thing I HATE about winter!).

First of all, Shelley you lived in Switzerland? That’s so awesome…that’s on my list of places to visit! Haha I feel for you with the winter weather, I was born & raised up north and winter & I did not get along! I’ve lived in FL about 7 years now and luckily it only gets cold enough for a sweater or light jacket. Now that it’s officially Sring, I hope it’s warming up for you!

I’m in the opposite boats, we get tired of running our fans 24/7 year round! I’d love to sport some Winter fashion like that nice coat. I miss vacationing in Mass (yes, we’d go TO the poor weather during Winter). I have some great Winter memories there!
Looks like it’s still mighty cold there! Living in FL we don’t really have winters, though we did break a record this week that was set in the 1800’s! It took us 200 years to get cold here! lol!

Nice picture! I also loved Scandal’s other big hit, “The Warrior”, another amazing song and video. Patty Smyth really has a great voice: can she believe she was invited to sing lead for Van Halen?! Another one of my fave songs by her was the heartfelt ballad, “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough”, a duet with The Eagles’ Don Henley.
