The Chief Blonde is Ready For Spring!
After saying Bye Bye to Winter, The Chief Blonde sheds her coat and adds some Hanes Legwear
Finally! Winter is heading out the door and I can get ready for spring. In Michigan, the first thing we do is ditch our coats..but it’s still plenty cold here. You can’t just start running around in summer dresses and flip flops just yet. Many women over 45, like to start wearing dresses or fancy shoes that you just can’t wear in the winter months. But you can’t just let your bare legs hang out! Brr..it’s too cold yet. My solution? I wear Legwear! Knee highs, thigh highs, tights and pantyhose are my choices. In this outfit post, all my products are from Hanes.
The Chief Blonde is wearing Safari Jacket — Sam’s Club, Pants — The Loft, Ann Taylor Shoes, and Hanes Control Top Silky Sheer Pantyhose in Nude (under $6).
Heading off to a blogging event the Chief Blonde is wearing a DKNY beaded pointelle sweater (old), Eshakit dress ($89), Bally of Switzerland Shoes (vintage), and Hanes Control Top Silky Sheer Pantyhose in Sun Beige (under $6).
Heading off to a dinner with her wonderful Husband Walt, the Chief Blonde sports a glittery top from Old Navy ($19). Vintage Vest from Salvation Army ($1), handmade leather belt, Skirt –the Loft, Boots — the Loft, Tattoo Steel Bracelet c/o Emma Parker ($89), Vintage Turquoise Pins, and Hanes Lace Thigh High Hoisery in Jet Black(under $6)
I adore Hanes Legwear and Pantyhose and have wore them elsewhere on my blog >>Here<<. Hanes Legwear is affordable (all styles under $6), with a huge selection of style option and shades. I tried the styles and colors mentioned above in the outfits and also Hane’s seamless tights. I can rave about the tights too but I didn’t get a picture of them (we were late for church!) Plus, Hanes legwear doesn’t roll at my “Muffin Top waist”–in fact the pantyhose controls it. I also never get ankle sag with Hanes Legwear. I have scary white alabaster skin so I pretty much wear legwear all through the year except for summertime. Hanes is my go to brand! How about you?
Do you wear Legwear as a transitional Spring Piece?
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I think hose should totally make a comeback– they really give your legs a “finished” look! Love these!
I do sometimes. Love you in the outfit with the hot looking boots

No more leg wear for me do to health problems. My legs swell a great deal and get quite large. Your outfits look wonderful.
I never cover up my legs all natural. But they are great for my kids in winter time
I Used to wear them when I was little but now that my mom dosnt make me. I don’t use them.
I love posts about shoes. Shoes, purses and scarves are my fav accessories!
I used to when I worked; however, since I retired I only wear hose or tights a few times a year.
I wear them if I’m wearing a dress for something, but since going out of work on disability, those occasions are few and far between. I usually go for Hanes as well when I do need them, though.
I wear legwear year round
I do on occasion. Love the outfits you put together.
I wear them occasionally
I wear legwear throughout the entire year. Legwear is a fashion statement. Nothing looks more classic and fashionable, as you have shown, than black legwear and a black dress or skirt; it simply rocks.
I love Hane’s shapewear hose and when I mess up and get it snag in ones for dresses I cut them off and have some homemade spanx!
I think too many ladies skip over legware these days. It think it makes a much classier outfit when your legs are dressed. I always wear them for formal occasions and in transition months in the spring.
I wear them all the time except when it hot
something I would get for my mother
I wear pantyhose when I wear a dressy outfit and to office jobs but rarely have the need to wear anything heavier living in Florida. I was a teen in the 80’s during the legwarmer craze!
I am a tights girl! Love them.
I used to wear tights, and LEGGS, but now that I don’t have to Dress for Work anymore, I pretty much don’t wear them, but I have thought about tights lately so….maybe….I will start wearing them again, I don’t think that I have tried Hanes Tights before so I appreciate the review.
I used to, but since I have ahem, gained weight I no longer do. Love the way you put the outfits together!
