A quick easy recipe that can only be mistaken for homemade at it best. You would swear Mrs. Claus prepared these for Santa herself.

Candy Cane Christmas Cupcakes Recipe will yield you lovely white sour cream cupcakes with a snow white sugared frosting topping that whisks anyone who eats it right to the North Pole!

Ingredients
  • Cupcakes:
  • 3 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup softened Butter
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 16 oz Sour Cream
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup softened Butter
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • Decorations:
  • 12 Peppermint Sticks
  • ¼ cup White Sparkling Sugar
  • Printed Labels
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line muffin pan with paper liners
  3. Cream butter and sugar in mixer until fluffy.
  4. Beat in vanilla and eggs one at a time.
  5. Add baking powder, salt and flour gradually until mixed.
  6. Add in sour cream and beat until blended.
  7. Fill cups to nearly full.
  8. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely.
  10. Cream butter in a medium bowl
  11. Slowly add in the powdered sugar, and milk as needed, until everything is incorporated and frosting is right consistency.
  12. Transfer to piping bag or zippered bag and clip corner to pipe.
  13. Frost cupcakes.
  14. Sprinkle with sparkling sugar, inset peppermint sticks and attch labels.
