Vintage Cutouts!

July 22, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 156 Comments

Giraffes and Flower Power

Vintage Giraffe Sweater cutouts

After church, Walt and I usually stop and get some groceries at our local Kroger store.  I am usually dressed up so outfit pictures naturally follow.

This floral cutout skirt–Wowza!

Cutout florals

What makes this skirt so cute?  Laser-cut posies bring cool dimension to this mid-length JOA skirt ($58). Hidden back zip. Lined. The prices is really fantastic to0 for this dressy of a skirt!

It’s all about the details

Cutout Details

I adore the details of this outfit: the felt trim of the sleeve and the felt giraffe on the breast of the cardigan, the peacock necklace (so cheap from ebay) and the satin ladylike MaryJane’s!  It’s easy for you to recreate the look.

Don’t forget a fab bag!

Best Tote Ever Ever

This is my favorite bag at the moment! Why is this bag insanely great? It’s a tote with pockets! Lots of them. No more digging around for your keys, phone and glasses! I featured this bag before here.

Outfit Details

JOA’s Jaime floral detail skirt ($59 Shopbop.com What a steal!)

Vintage giraffe cashmere sweater (similar, Nordstrom’s $46)

Turquoise pumps (from Payless.. similar Nordstroms $46)

Michael Kors Multifunctional tote–my favorite bag ATM ($298–worth every cent via Shopbop.com)

Mint camisole from Meijers, $6.99 (similar)

Cute turquoise table and chairs $89 at Kroger (similar from Kohls)

The cutouts looks so trendy! Nowadays, people just wear whatever clothing that they think suit their body type. So I think this design is not only for women over 45 but for everyone.

This reminds me of old photos of my grandmother, who was so beautiful and stylish back in the 1950’s. I am in love with that decade- the music, the clothes, the modesty, the wholesome family values…You look beautiful!!!

Nice outfit but too vintage for my tastes and not in my colour wheel either. Too dressy for this old farm girl. I’m more of a dressy jeans kinda girl.
