On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!

4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

Question 3: To be honest, there aren’t many mainstream artists that I enjoy. Although, personally I enjoy bands like Marianas Trench, Hedley, Air Supply and journey. All of these groups have a way of evolving their sound, yet staying true to their roots
I am not sure that I could pick a favorite Beatle they were all amazing! I had not heard of this show sounds like it will be a good one to watch.
The best Beatle was Paul he was so soulful and he still is doing it.
Aside from the concerts I’ve already mentioned, I thought Michael Jackson was one of the top performers I’ve ever witnessed in person. He could have just stood there in the spotlight, with no special effects whatsoever, and his natural talent and charisma would carry it all.
The greatest concert I saw was Garth Brooks
Best musician today? I’d have to go with Itzhak Perlman. I saw him in concert last year, and it will remain a life highlight for me.
It’s hard to pick one concert, but I’d have to pick concert with Paul McCartney. I had loved him for decades, but finally I got to see him. It was a love-fest.
Oh, don’t do this to me! I’m a Beatlemaniac since forever. How do I select one, when they all make up The Beatles? Okay, how about John Lennon? John had enough of an “edge” to keep them from becoming a fluff group.
Thanks for a great giveaway!
These are hard questions to answer. I guess I’d say John Lennon because of the songs he wrote.
The greatest concert I saw was Billy Joel because he sang all of my favorite songs.
I think the greatest Beatle was Paul McCartney, he had a great career even after the Beatles.
The greatest concert I ever went to was Weird Al, but mostly because I had great seats!
I love any kind of oldies music!! I love to watch the live concerts near us that are outside!
I have always liked Johnny Mathis, as do my 2 sisters. He finally came to our town many years ago and we got to go see him. There were 3 levels of tickets, $15, $75, and $1,000 – which included dinner with him. We all said the last one was what we wanted the next time! His music just gets inside of you and floats you away! It was wonderful!
Here I may have a problem. I am not so much into these things anymore, but I love George Strait and feel he is a very talented musician. He has been around a long time and still sells his music and his concerts!
I would have to say Elton John. He was so accommodating to audience members. His music was great and there was only him and his piano. The place was packed and we all love his music and were singing along!
The best concert I ever saw was the Moody Blues with the St Louis symphony orchestra. It was outside and we got to sit under the stars and listen to them. So amazing.
For some reason, I have always liked Paul the best. I continued to like him as he created his group, “Wings”. He just seemed more genuine. Of course it is hard to tell when one is trying to picture a famous person.
Greatest concert I seen was AC/DC!! They rock!
I have to say one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to was Carrie Underwood! Boy that girl can sing! At the end of her concert she made a tornado like wind behind her when she sang ‘Blown away’
