On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!

1. In your opinion, who was the greatest Beatle? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
2. In your opinion, what was the greatest concert you ever experienced? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
3. In your opinion, who is the best musician today? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

In my opinion the greatest concert I ever experienced was Bon Jovi slippery when wet concert and the reason is it is the only concert I have ever been to.
This is great! I like John Lennon myself. What a nice giveaway too!
I really can’t pick a favorite musician today, there are do many genres, I love new modern rock and really Springsteen always holds the number one spot on my list. I will say that the greatest musician of my generation was (a,sad emphasis on ‘was’) Kurt Cobain. He was do talented, changed history in the music world, one of my all time favorited. Like Bradley Nowell of Sublime they died way to young and tragically.
I haven’t seen too many performances in my life but the best performance I’ve seen was Gungor a few years ago in Seattle. They were absolutely incredible.
I really don’t think I could pick a favorite musician… I’ve been on a bit of a Leonard Cohen kick lately.
The best performance(s) I’ve been to was on my birthday -August 4th 1992. It was Lollapalooza at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. We had no idea the sheer magnitude of the event. The lineup included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Ice Cube, Ministry, Jesus and Mary Chain and so many more. It truly was epic.
Fanfarlo was the best band I’ve seen in concert, they’re even better live than recorded.
George Harrison. I always go for the underdog, plus he had the best hair. 🙂
The greatest concert I ever saw was Springsteen’s Born in the USA tour in 1984. 1 was only ten years old, my dad took me. Having spent all of my time growing up out in the garage with my dad while he built muscle cars, The Boss was,a music must have and my favorite. It was huge and I was so excited. I still remember it, it was indescribable!
John Lennon was my favorite Beatle. He was a but of a rebel and quite controversial. He was multi talented, whether it was the instruments he played or through art, he spoke his mind and spoke for peace. His assassination was beyond heartbreaking, I was young but I remember my dad coming home from work with tears in his eyes after hearing about it on the radio.
The best performance I’ve ever seen was Bette Midler singing Wind Beneath my Wings.
The best musician today is Van Halen. He plays incredibly.
My son just asked me recently what my favorite or best concert ever was. The answer was it depended. One of them was Rock On The Range in 2013, because I saw a lot of great bands. Another was a tiny show in Rhode Island where I saw one of my favorite bands ever perform a very intimate concert. The third was a show where I saw three of my favorite bands together, when they were all getting started.
My greatest concert experience was probably Genesis only because my husband proposed that night.
I think the greatest Beatle is Paul McCartney because he has consistently pleased the greatest number of people with his work AND he seems to be a nice guy, kind, and genuine.
I have been to several concerts but the one that was totally epic is BB King. #amazing.
My favorite concert I’ve been to is Brad Paisley. He is such a great guitarist- I’ve seen him 4 times!
Best musician today, this is hard but my favorite would have to be bruno mars. Not only is he HOT but that boy can sing and write.
Best performance I ever say was Travis Tritt, when I was younger I worked at a casino and was always in the concert hall to help with the food. So this was awesome.
1. Beatle: Paul McCartney because of his longevity in music and his vegetarian activism.
2. I loved last year’s Heart/Joan Jett concert. Experienced performers and fun with friends
3. Too many to name but maybe Adele.
4. Too many to pick but Heart/Joan Jett would be on the list.
