On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!

1. In your opinion, who was the greatest Beatle? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
2. In your opinion, what was the greatest concert you ever experienced? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
3. In your opinion, who is the best musician today? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.
4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

The best Beatle in my opinion was John Lennon because he was so truly gifted in his insight, writing and singing.
The greatest rock concert I’ve experience was The Who with The Clash – they were both just so great live, and had fantastic energy! The best classical concert was a performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 performed by the Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii – who just happens to be blind!
The greatest Beatle was undoubtedly John Lennon! He was known as “the Thinking Man’s Beatle”, and it was really his band from the start. He wrote the most profound lyrics, from his personal cry for “Help!” to his personal favorite “A Day In The Life”. He brought the Peace Movement international attention with his honeymoon ‘bed-in’, and rally song “Give Peace A Chance”. He was a true artist of many genres – music, poetry, and his funny doodles. His lovely song “Imagine” is such a timeless classic, so loved around the world. He left us a great legacy, and it’s such a tragedy that he couldn’t have lived longer to give us more. 😉
I have to catch up with this! For me the best concert ever was Enanitos Verdes in Argentina.
My favorite Beatle was John Lennon
John Lennon. His music and character just were something indescribable. He made real changes in the world.
Best musician today?? Gosh, that is a hard one. I don’t feel like there is currently anyone that is standing out to me…as a musician. The music scene is so oversaturated with pop & an every revolving circus of entertainers.
A Bon Jovi concert I attended with my sisters. The crowd. Music, and company were fantastic.
I went to Germany when I was 16. U2 just happened to have a concert nearby while we were there. Thank you
My favorites are Paul & John. They wrote great songs.
I think George Harrison was the best musician of the Beatles. John wrote some good lyrics but George wrote both music and lyrics so I would pick him as the unsung hero of the Fab Four.
john lennon, because he was a great song writer
I’ve got to go with Paul McCartney as the best Beatle. In my opinion, his songs were the best, and he had the best voice.
The best performance (and performer imo) was Freddy Mercury/Queen at Live Aid.
Hmmm, the best musician today…..I still love Bruce Springsteen and he still creates good music.
I’ve never experienced a great concert, I’ve only been to concerts when I was a teeny-bopper and seen New Kids on The Block etc, not much to write home about tbh lol.
The Greatest Beatle was John Lennon 🙁
John Lennon because he wrote some great songs.
My favorite Beatle was John Lennon. He was a musical genius. I would have loved to seen what he could accomplish if he had lived.
Best musician today in my opinion is Beck.
