On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!

1. In your opinion, who was the greatest Beatle? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

The best concert for me was my first one. I think you never get over your first. It was a Brooks & Dunn concert. I was only 13. It was awesome.
The best performance was the Steve Miller Band earlier this year in Tampa.
The best musician today is till Eric Clapton because he can still play the guitar at an extremely high level.
The greatest concert I went to was John Fogerty at the House of Blues.
John Lennon. He was the greatest songwriter of the four.
John is my favourite Beatle I love his voice, I loved Live 8 Barrie so many artists for one great cause, Best performance in my opinion was Tommy Lee at the Dr Feelgood concert he was awesome.
I would have to say the greatest concert I experienced was Bruce Springsteen, the first time I saw him in 1980; it was on the date when his double album “The River” was released, and I had 6th row seats; it was an amazing concert! I’ve seen him 4 other times–once in 1981, 2 shows in 1985, and 1 show in 1992 (though he didn’t have the E Street Band with him then so that was the show I liked least).
The best performance of any kind I ever experienced was a Neil Diamond Concert in 2011
I am not really in touch with today’s musicians so I am going to have to stick with Neil Diamond as the best
The greatest concert I ever experienced was a Neil Diamond Concert in 2011
Paul McCartney was the greatest Beatle
I think Paul was the greatest Beatle, because he has been the most prolific.
1. In your opinion, who was the greatest Beatle? John Lennon
2. In your opinion, what was the greatest concert you ever experienced? Sadly, I have only ever been to one concert. It was Matchbox 20 and it was okay but nothing to write home about.
3. In your opinion, who is the best musician today? Adele, I don’t really think we have many extraordinary musicians around these days but she stands out from the crowed.
4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? Elvis concert, but I only have seen it on TV.
(#2) US Festival, Sept. 3-5, 1982 San Bernardino, CA.
(#3) The Eagles!!!!!
John Lennon because he took different ideas from different cultures and he didn’t care what anyone had to say about it. He lived his life the way HE wanted to!
i.e, If you don’t like my music don’t listen to it. If you don’t like my choice of companion, don’t talk to her!
Awesome, attitude for a stress free life!
The best performance was my first – when my parents took me as a young child to see Artur Rubenstein play the piano in NYC . That started my love of the piano and classical music. Even if there have been other great and Perhaps better performers that is the one that remains foremost in my memories.
My favorite living musician is Alfred Brendel, the pianist. The feeling and virtuosity he brings to the music is unsurpassed.
since I am a classical music fan the best concert was the Chicago Symphony orchestra with Rafael Kibelik playing Bruckner’s Symphony #8 in C minor. They brought a new feeling of triumph to the music and made me appreciate it more.
I like Paul the most of the Beatles because I thought he was the most talented.
