On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!

4. In your opinion, what was the best performance (of any kind) that you ever saw? I’d love you to tell me why, if you want.

Paul McCartney. He was responsible for many of the Beatles greatest songs.
Paul McCartney will always be the best!
One of my first concerts was Bonjovi and it was amazing. The lights and special effects were impressive.
The best concert I ever saw was Billy Joel. His music is great and he is an awesome performer.
I am not a huge concert goer, but I have seen a few great shows. One of my early concerts was Huey Lewis and the News, with the Tower of Power. That was AMAZING. Especially with Huey jamming with the Tower of Power alone, at the end of the show. I also saw David Bowie in ’87, the Glass Spider tour. Awesome.
In 1990, I think, I saw Frank Sinatra (with Steve & Edie). That’s one for the books. I’ve also been to an OzzFest (Ozzy was INSANE) with Motley Crue, and they were really on their game (I’ve seen them a total of three times. One concert was blah, but the other one rocked). Another one worth mentioning is a blues concert at Blossom (Cuyahoga Falls) with Buddy Guy and B.B. King. Incredible experience.
So, the best I’ve seen? I would have to say the blues concert. I’m hoping to see Motley Crue in two weeks, one of their final shows ever, so I’m hopeful they’ll knock it out of the park.
i went to a keith urban show before he was super famous. best stage presence ever.
The best performance I ever saw was the Rolling Stones in 2005 in Tampa Florida. They played so many songs for 3+ hours. Wow! I’d had wanted to see them for years.
I think the best musicians today are the Foo Fighters. They’re about all that’s left of pure rock music and are still releasing great new music after 15+ years.
The greatest concert I ever experienced was Van Halen circa 1981. They weren’t huge yet but you could tell big things were on the horizon. Fun!
For me, the greatest Beatle was John. The songs he wrote and sang on were a bit moodier and in-depth. 🙂
john Lennon was the best ever.
I would have to say Van Halen in the 80’s I saw them 3 or 4 times and they were amazing. Just about any concert in the 80’s was amazing waiting in line with friends for hours having fun and then seeing bands play in San Francisco I’m lucky to have grown up in that era.
Plus you could still sneak in your own alcohol…LOL The Chief Blonde
Best performance, Adele ,at Royal Albert Hall hall.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri7-vnrJD3k
I like Adele, her last 3 songs were hits. I like this song , Make you feel my love, youtube.com/watch?v=0put0_a–Ng
My best performances I saw were the Monsters of Rock Tour in 1988 with Van Halen on thier OU812 album with Metallica, Scorpions, Dokken, and Kingdom Come in Alpine Valley, WI.
The best musician today would be Adam Levine of Maroon 5.
I saw Diana Ross in the 80’s . She was wonderful and full of energy.
I liked John. A fun guy.
My greatest concert experience was when I saw the rock group Kansas. They really rocked!
I liked George Harrison the most of all of the Beatles.
