Mountain Khakis Review

Inspired by the Mountains, appropriate for any outdoor activity

Mountain Khakis®, a leading mountain-inspired lifestyle apparel brand based in Jackson Hole, Wyo., introduces its first full collection for women. The MK Women’s  collections are composed of two new  focuses – Granite Creek and Casual Lifestyle.

MK Granite Creek Collection

You can say  “Yes!” to  the sun with Mountain Khakis Granite Creek Collection which designs in an exceptional UVA/UVB 50+ protection. The classic styling look of the women’s MK Granite Creek collection reminds you of  “Audrey Hepburn goes fly fishing.”  Made from lightweight, peached Nylon Taslan®, the MK Granite Creek Long Sleeve Shirt and Hooded Popover are water repellent and quick drying.  MK Granite Creek Bottoms are up for any range of activities. Constructed of brushed nylon with a Scotchgard(TM) treatment for stain resistance, these pants are incredibly lightweight, quick drying and packable.  Available in pant, capri and short styles.

MK Casual Lifestyle Collection

The new women’s MK Casual Lifestyle collection combines style and adventure in one. Mountain Khakis uses the softest cottons to create a versatile wardrobe including the MK Oxbow collection of short sleeve, tunic and long sleeve shirts in cheery gingham checks. The stylish MK Oxbow chambray skirt features a wide waistband and front placket design detail.

Still Blonde smallThe Chief Blonde Remarks: Mountain Khakis is “Built for Mountain Life”.  I would say the “Active” Outdoor Nature life is what their newest collections conjure up in my mind.  These clothes are the well made, high end-clothes that you wear for fishing, horseback riding, mountain climbing, hiking when saving money isn’t your first priority and you want your clothes to last.  I loved the Oxbow Skirt from the Casual Lifestyle Collection.  I thought it looked fun and flirty with my tights and kitten heels (I was working the Audrey Hepburn goes fly fising angle) but it would look equally as cute with some Sperry topsiders or comfy walking sandals.  The Shirt from the Granite Creek Collection seems as if it was custom designed for me.  The fact that the shirt had UVA/UVB 50+ protection is ideal for a super pale girl who burns to a crisp in the sun like I do.  I need a shirt like this for the summer, I can wear it as a cover-up whenever I am in the sun without looking like I have on too many clothes.
