Michelle Obama wears Michael Kors to 2015 State of the Union Address

Mrs. Obama also revealed her State of the Union dress and that of Dr. Jill Biden, wife of the Vice-President. 
First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden posed for a selfie taken by the Twitter Mirror which includes the hashtag #SOTU . Up until now the Twitter Mirror has been more commonly used at award shows like The Oscars and The Grammys.
On Tuesday night, at the State of the Union Address, Michelle Obama, First Lady of the US, stepped out in a Michael Kors skirt suit. The tweed design consisted of a wide collar and zipper detailing in gray. The Michael Kors top, called Origami Collar Tweed Jacket, was available at Nordstroms (sold out. $797). Here’s the original version glad to see that Michelle did not wear this rendition as I think the thigh high zipper may have been a tad too much!
You might also recognize the suit if you’re a “Good Wife” fan. This Michael Kors dress was first seen on Julianna Margulies in the role of Alicia Florrick, the wife of a disgraced politician on The Good Wife. This post is not a political statement. The Chief Blonde wished to feature the fashion of our First lady, Michelle Obama and the Vice President’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden.
It’s amazing how Michelle Obama, the English royalty, movie stars their style persuades others. When they wear something it goes viral and everyone want to wear it, too. Good thing we have look-a-likes at cheaper costs.
I like all things Michael Kors. I wish I could have a closet full of his things.
Very sophisticated….classy yet casual and down to earth, too; she looks good in lots of things. I do think it’s interesting that the dress had been worn on TV before.

Not really sure such a dark suit flatters her.I think a shimmering gold dress would look better.
I think the concept was to look professional: My suggestion: A Skirt with a sharp blazer ( a soft lavender would be perfect).
