Want to be “Still Blonde?” Madison Reed Root Touch Up
When I was young, I was very blonde. Born Blonde. Tow-head Blonde. As I aged, my hair darkened to a dirty dishwater blonde, and I hated it. As a result, in about the eighth grade, I began a life long process of dying, highlighting, frosting, and coloring my hair.

While I have always loved being “Still Blonde”, sometimes root maintenance is tiring. I really should go in for root touch up every six-eight weeks, but truth be told I usually just go in when my roots get uber scary. Like this!
True Confession: I usually don’t make an appointment to get my hair done until the situation is this bad. One big combo of dark roots and gray…ughh! Yet, because of my devil-may-care attitude, I often can’t get into my stylist when I need to (Appointment? What’s THAT?)
Madison Reed Root Touch Up– The Solution?
Recently, Madison Reed contacted me and asked me to write a compensated review about their Root Touch Up powder. I said, “Sure thing!” I am all about trying to find temporary products to cover my roots until I can get into the hair salon. Having tried temporary root sprays, mascaras, and colors, I can tell you I was a tad leery. But I do need a solution when I am in need of a quick hair root touch-up in between coloring appointments…especially if I have a photo shoot I need to get done or an important event to attend!

I wanted to be a redhead when I was young. Tried it. I don’t look good as a redhead.
Now I have pretty salt and pepper shiny hair that I like.
My question is, how long does it take for your hair to get to your “bad” picture? Because that’s me in six weeks, and since I have dark brown/nearly black hair, my gray definitely shows! But I guess you have three colors, which may add to your frustration, perhaps.
Hi Jennifer my hair, depending on how it’s colored, get’s colored every 7-9 weeks. Shelley
I’ve tried drugstore root touch-up kits but they never seem to cover the greys. I think Madison Reed’s version would be much better.
This product sounds wonderful! but you look the same and besides your hair getting a bit
light , you are as beautiful now as you was from those picture,

I was born bleachblonde, and as I got older my hair darkened and is now a light brunette. I definitely miss my blonde days. With coloring, you always have to worry about root maitnence. So this is a great thing!
If I dyed my hair I would be looking for this product immediately.
Wow.. so awesome.. Love the pics.. Thanks
That looks like a fun thing to do for yourself.
Madison Reed this is a new one to me………… I am in the I don’t know what I want to do with my hair. Do I just want to go gray or start coloring again. Maybe I will get the power and hold off on deciding
Love your pic looks good
You’ve had the looks from day one! I’ve heard of Madison Reed but have never used it!
Looks like an easy way to fix the problem.
I love your senior photo. It’s very pretty.
I’ve often thought about going blonde, but never have.
Thanks Cheryl (once you go blonde, you’ll never go back!) Shelley
