The Chief Blonde’s January Favorites

Wardrobe Investment Basics

I was hoping to make a video of all my favorites, but it didn’t happen. So instead, I’ll will just show you my favorite products/fashions/etc. for January via this blog post. Let me know in the comments if you like the feature or would rather I make a video. All items this month are unsponsored, but I will always tell you when they are sponsored. This month my focus is Wardrobe Investment Basics.

The Wardrobe Basic Sunglasses

Ray Bans Traditional and Oversized

If you are going to invest in one pair of pricey sunglasses, buy a pair of Ray-ban Wayfarers. These glasses are uber-cool, retro and never wrong. Left to right: Ray-Ban Original Wayfarers ($155 via ) and Ray-Ban Outsiders Oversized Wayfarers ($155 via )

The Wardrobe Basic Black Boots

Wardrobe Basic Black Boots

If you head to NYC this season, you will see these Stuart Weitzman over the knee boot everywhere. ($635 via ). You have to try on a pair of Hunter Rain boots just one time to understand why these rain boots are superior in every way to the cheap ones. ($158 via ). These days everyone needs a short black bootie, these British inspired moto-vibed boot Rocket Dog Camilla ($69 via) will be smashing with your favorite moto-jacket and leggings or paired with a edgy skirt.

Wardrobe Basics The Black Tote

Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Multifunction Tote

I am not a huge purse fan. That’s why you’ll almost always see me carrying this tote from Michael Kors. It’s elegant, has pockets and goes with everything. With only one purse, I have more money to spend on shoes. YEAH! ( $295 via Shopbop)

Favorite Consignment Store for picking up Wardrobe Basics

Fashion Project

Fashion Project is a designer clothing donation site where you can donate clothes and a substantial portion of sales goes to your designated charity. You can also buy donated clothes and a majority portion of your purchases go to the charity selected by the donor. It’s such a win-win site and the DEALS ARE INSANE! Many great items from J.Crew, Banana Republic, Coach, Joie, etc. many items are $5. Psst…Watch for their sales, the deals get even sweeter! Wait…What? Here’s my invite link . Below you will see just one of the items I have bought this year (most under $10!).

A monthly favorites video would be great. You should do a monthly faves with books, tv shows, movies, clothes, best stores and makeup.

Of all the youtubers I watch, I love seeing monthly favorites videos. I think monthly allows enough time for you to understand what you use consistently and show the many different ways you use it over that length of time. I love fashion items and accessories most!

I think it should be monthly and that it should be your favorite products for that months from every area of life.I personally prefer blogposts cause I can always go back to check if a product you loved has the specifications of a product that I’m looking for at the moment.

I would like tutorial on fashion and make-up styles and seasons. Like what is best for tan skin or warm tone etc. A video and blog combo would be nice.

I prefer reading than watching videos (but visual versus hearing is my learning style). I think a weekly blog post is great. Thank you

I like the videos and seem to learn more easily if it’s a tutorial however I’m not always in a place that I can listen to a video, ie waiting for an appt, standing in a long check out line. But I can read a post while doing those things. I like all topics. I do like reviews and feel like they are really beneficial. Thanks so much.

I would choose a monthly blog post-video combo review of your favorite items for the month… 3-4 items that you’ve done a full review on, just pick the ones you like the best and do a quick feature post withlinks for the full review.

Weekly on household stuff… I personally prefer a blog of words rather than videos. I typically am at work during the day reading blogs.
    Thank you!
