The Chief Blonde’s January Favorites

Wardrobe Investment Basics

I was hoping to make a video of all my favorites, but it didn’t happen. So instead, I’ll will just show you my favorite products/fashions/etc. for January via this blog post. Let me know in the comments if you like the feature or would rather I make a video. All items this month are unsponsored, but I will always tell you when they are sponsored. This month my focus is Wardrobe Investment Basics.

The Wardrobe Basic Sunglasses

Ray Bans Traditional and Oversized

If you are going to invest in one pair of pricey sunglasses, buy a pair of Ray-ban Wayfarers. These glasses are uber-cool, retro and never wrong. Left to right: Ray-Ban Original Wayfarers ($155 via ) and Ray-Ban Outsiders Oversized Wayfarers ($155 via )

The Wardrobe Basic Black Boots

Wardrobe Basic Black Boots

If you head to NYC this season, you will see these Stuart Weitzman over the knee boot everywhere. ($635 via ). You have to try on a pair of Hunter Rain boots just one time to understand why these rain boots are superior in every way to the cheap ones. ($158 via ). These days everyone needs a short black bootie, these British inspired moto-vibed boot Rocket Dog Camilla ($69 via) will be smashing with your favorite moto-jacket and leggings or paired with a edgy skirt.

Wardrobe Basics The Black Tote

Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Multifunction Tote

I am not a huge purse fan. That’s why you’ll almost always see me carrying this tote from Michael Kors. It’s elegant, has pockets and goes with everything. With only one purse, I have more money to spend on shoes. YEAH! ( $295 via Shopbop)

Favorite Consignment Store for picking up Wardrobe Basics

Fashion Project

Fashion Project is a designer clothing donation site where you can donate clothes and a substantial portion of sales goes to your designated charity. You can also buy donated clothes and a majority portion of your purchases go to the charity selected by the donor. It’s such a win-win site and the DEALS ARE INSANE! Many great items from J.Crew, Banana Republic, Coach, Joie, etc. many items are $5. Psst…Watch for their sales, the deals get even sweeter! Wait…What? Here’s my invite link . Below you will see just one of the items I have bought this year (most under $10!).

I’m not a huge fan of videos, so I would go with just a blog post. I love finding out about household and decor items.

I’d say that a monthly favorites WRITTEN blog would be amazing! And the topics covered could be anything you are really into at the time. I like variety and reading so put those 2 together and you’ve got yourself a reader for life! Keep up the GREAT work 🙂 Thank you!

I don’t watch videos often. I’d be most likely to watch posts that provide a tutorial, something that I can’t really get from reading necessarily.

I would definitely prefer a video, perhaps something like a “what not to wear” segment that coincides with the seasons.

I’d by and far prefer to read posts than watch videos (personal preference!), and I think a twice-monthly segment would probably be best. A variety of topics would be nice, but considering this blog fashion, hairstyles, and make-up tips for aging ladies would be most appropriate.

Monthly video/blogpost combo. Switch up topics to keep it interesting…

I’m not much for watching videos, since usually I’m on a break at work or something like that. I’d like to see blog posts on things that help me out around the house. DIY’s like how to fix a leaky faucet, or recipes like how to make your own spice mixes and laudry detergent and that kind of thing!

Honestly, I’d more likely read a blog post than watch a video. My favorite posts are on improving health.

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

For me, a weekly or bi-monthly post would be appropriate. And, I would love for you to cover age appropriate hair styles, and clothes, for women at our age group. Even touching on anti-aging and everyday health would be interesting.

I think that sounds like a great idea. I think a monthly video would be great. I would love to see fashion/makeup videos. That would be great.
