Still Blonde after all these YEARS supports Swimsuit Confidence!
Lands’ End together with 21 real women from Curvy Girl Guide (www.curvygirlguide.com), will launch the first National Swimsuit Confidence Week May 23 – 27, 2011. As a chosen blogger, Still Blonde after all these YEARS , is celebrating women of all shapes and sizes and Women over 45, specifically! I hope to inspire them to have fun this summer by taking part in National Swimsuit Confidence Week.
I, along with 49 other bloggers are posting our pictures on our blogs, in swimsuits modeled by Land’s End! I know, I know…Pretty scary right? You can’t imagine how I have fretted over this one!
So..here goes….
I have always admired starlets of yesteryear. I find them so much more womanly than many of the super-slim stars of today. So I looked to them for my swimsuit inspirations.

I can’t say this was easy–I mean, I have little to no pictures of me in a bathing suit for the first 49 years of my life and now here I am posting a picture on my blog for the whole world to see! My husband swears my hits will go up…this is the same sweet man who says if he and I participated in the Bachelor Reality Series that he would just hand me ALL the roses right off the bat…I love that man!

The weeklong movement was created to celebrate women of all shapes and sizes as well as educate and inspire them to embrace their swimsuit beauty and have fun this summer. Each day Lands’ End will giveaway 10 Lands’ End Swimsuits, 10 Lands’ End Beach Towels and announce exclusive swimsuit promotions!

I love the concept behind the swimsuit initiative. No one should be scared to get into a suit. Everyone should get out and enjoy the summer. And if someone doesn’t like it they can bloody well avert their eyes.
Not that anyone would be avoiding looking at the Chief Blonde. You make a lovely starlet! Though I have to say I would love to see you in the same hair-do as Esther. 🙂

I would love to try the same hairstyle as Esther but I wouldn’t know WHERE to start. I just loved your line “Avert your eyes”. I did delete quite a few pictures which would have made you do that! This was the best of about 25 shots (and if was the first one too!)

Cindi, That’s what I thought to. But once I’d went for it and then looked at others photos, I realized that it’s not such a big deal–my husband did do about 5 poses and 25 pictures to get the one I got, so maybe that’s the key…Choosing the best of the worst. HAHAHA! The Chief Blonde!

Maybe it’s time. Pick out a cute suit. Print out some cute poses that you think you could rock (that’s what I did as I couldn’t even begin to imagine how i would pose) AND GO FOR IT! What the hey? RIght?
