what’s intriguing about this is all the famous people that wore her designs, I love books w/pictures, they tell a story before I even begin to read the book
I just love looking at fashion
The older vintage hats look great
I love that the book has the concept art and the completed hat. My niece would love this.
It sounds like an interesting read. Illustrations are always a plus.
I like that Vogue commented oon the book so therefor found it worthwhile.
How beautiful! I’m a lover of all things vintage and old Hollywood, and the clothing of the golden age is so unlike what stars wear today. I’d love to learn more about hats – something that was once a staple. The photographs, from the cover and the preview pages, are gorgeous. I’d like a history lesson, for sure!
I love seeing the drawing being made into an actual hat.
My mom works with vintage clothing at a historical association, and I know she’d be crazy about this book!
I want to see the vintage Avedon photographs and Cecil Beaton film stills!
I like that it’s in hardcover…and I think the photos would be interesting!
I like that it has so many photos and illustrations, I love beautiful photos.
I like that the book has illustrations from her designs that were worn in classic films. I love old movies and it would be very fun to read about the history and then watch the movie mentioned.
I love that the book has pics of the hats alongside the sketches they came from.
I like that it is illustrated and you can see all the beautiful days.
I like the 40’s and 50’s hats! The best time in Paris fashion.
This would be a great book just all the pictures and all the inspiration I could glean from them.
I love the retro hat looks! The pictures are great to see and I love using them for inspiration in my wardrobe.
I like that it has pictures of the hats worn by stars & that you can spend a whole afternoon looking at the book.
I am excited because the reviews are amazing! I especially love this one –
“An essential guide on the most indispensable fashion item of the mid-twentieth century.” (The Arts by Karena).
I love fashion in all aspects so reading about this book is fabulous! I love trying to figure out millinery for a long time, I do make Renaissance “Garb” for fun (yeah I am alittle strange) The one thing I love and cannot seem to grasp is hat making!
