Paris Milliner Extraordinaire ($50.00 hardcover, 9780500517314) highlights the life and work of famed milliner Madame Paulette, whose incomparable creations were worn by such film stars as Greta Garbo and Audrey Hepburn, and such royals as Princess Grace of Monaco and the Duchess of Windsor.

The pictures in Hats by Madame Paulette are just stunning. This is not a flip through coffee table book, but  an enjoy-every-picture andspend-a-Sunday-afternoon-with-it book. When you view her creations, you will surely agree with Karl Lagerfeld, who said of Paulette:

She was the last of a line of artists of this kind. She had something in her fingers, a magic touch…

i love the history, in 1900 not many women dare to do what she did, she dared to be herself and make a name for herself.

I love vintage fashion and hats are the number one fashion statement of vintage fashion. Good vintage fashion. The photography is wonderful and it shows the fashion off really well. LOVE IT!

I’ve always wanted to wear a hat, but growing up they were either functional or for people who were showing off. O am now comfortable with who I am, just need to expand my hat knowledge.

My favorite part of the book would be the photographs from Avedon, Newton, Horst, and Klein and I would love to learn more about fashion from the 40’s and 50’s!

I love that it was a woman designing all these amazing hats at a time when most women stayed at home to take care of the house.

I love collecting fashion books, namely vintage, but I don’t have one that is solely dedicated to my favorite accessory: hats. I also love looking at fashion books that have a lot photographic images, such as this one.

What a fascinating book! I love hats and found it very interesting that Madame Paulette designed hats for My Fair Lady and Gigi. Thanks for the great giveaway.

One of my fav genres is historical. This is set in the 1900s. One of the things I liked about historicals is their fashion.

I love hats and wish they would come back in style like they were before. this book illustrates the many beautiful styles that women of glamor used to wear.
