Get Patriotic! Red White and Blue Fashion Trends

Patriotic with a Twist: Red White and Blue Clothes

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Kohls Milly Lauen Conrad Minnie Mouse

Kohl’s sent us along a gift card to feature these lovely Red White and Blue Fashion Trends. For information on looks, see individual looks below.

I am nuts about Patriotic holidays. I have blogged patriotic manicure posts (Red, White and Blue Manicures  and Fourth of July Manicures), tributes to our military, and salutes to patriotic holidays. So when Kohl’s invited me to showcase their Red White and Blue Fashion Trends, it was a no-brainer. Any chance to salute my country is one I will gladly take.

Of course, a lot of my lady friend worry that when they dress in red, white and blue they will end up looking like a flag. Kind of like this:

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Kohls Flag Costume

All from Kohl’s: Look #1 (Featured on the male, $65, Sale $54);  Look #2 (featured on the female, $ 39, Sale $34); ($35, Sale $28)

While there’s nothing wrong with a great costume, that’s not what Red White and Blue fashions need to be about. I mean, look at this awesome dress from the new Collection:

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Kohls Milly

The Chief Blonde is wearing a ($70, Sale $42), 3/4 sleeve white jean jacket from Loft (), Seychelles nude and gold sandal ()

This dress fits so well (true to size) and because it’s all cotton, you just can’t go wrong. Aren’t you just loving the crispness and the nautical feel?

Looking for another great Red White and Blue outfit, perhaps for Flag Day? This red dress is from the new .

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Lauen Conrad Minnie Mouse

The Chief Blonde is wearing from Kohl’s ($68, Sale $51), Simply Vera Vera Wang for Kohl’s Platform Navy Pumps (), and is carrying her Grandmother’s navy wedding purse.

Those are actual Minnie Mouse heads that dot this adorable red dress above. The dress does run shockingly small. I had to order two sizes up, which as we all know, is super hard to do. My husband insisted I keep the dress though. It is really cute and flirty!

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Kohls Simply Vera

The Chief Blonde is wearing: (Clearance $17), Foxcroft button down no-iron shirt (), Steven by Steve Madden Oxford ()

These Simply Vera shorts are such a throwback to the pant styles for women from the 1940s, with the tie in the front. They are so comfortable and casual yet dressy at the same time. No wonder they are almost sold out.

The red kerchief in my pocket is a nod to the painter’s pant trend of the 80s. Everyone wore painter’s pants and then often tied a colorful bandanna through the pants loops.  #BringingBackATrend

This last dress is my favorite overall from the new and it fits this Red White and Blue Fashion Trends theme perfectly!

Red White Blue Fashion Trends 2015 Kohls Milly

The Chief Blonde is wearing ($68, Sale $41), her mother’s vintage jewelry, dark wash denim jacket by Loft (), and BC Wedges (similar)

This dress also comes in a flower print and I am pretty sure I will be picking up that one too! It’s an easy design to wear and I love how it flatters my figure!

Which Red White and Blue look is your favorite?

I am all about maxi skirts and maxi dresses, so I am totally in love with the Chaps Mitered-Stripe Maxi Skirt in Multi! It would be the perfect skirt for a 4th of July BBQ – long enough to help protect from sun and bugs but still a skirt so I can stay cool.
