Motherly Fashion Advice
Fashion Advice for Women over 45
The Chief Blonde and her Mom
I wouldn’t say I got all my fashion sense from my mom but there was a lot of great fashion tips she gave me that stuck with me through the years. Without further ado, here’s the Chief Blonde’s Mom’s Fashion Advice and I am pretty sure that your mom’s advice is similar!
Five Fashion tips from YOUR MOM
1. It never hurts to dress like your mom sometimes. (See picture above…this was a total accident…we showed up a restaurant in virtually the same outfit)
2. Wear a hat. Hats are very useful you see. They keep your ears warm and keep your skin from getting burned.
3. Take a jacket. You can always take a jacket off but if you are freezing and you didn’t bring one then you have a bigger problem.
4. Wear Comfortable Shoes. HAHAHAHAHA. You KNOW I ignored this one. See picture below!

5. Wear Clean Clothes. This seems like pretty obvious fashion advice but I can’t tell you the number of times I have went and changed my clothes because I could hear my mother’s voice ringing in my ears.

To always use the golden rule.
The best advice my mom gave me was to finish college! I had my ds in-between my jr and sr year in high school and she was there to push me to continue onto college even with a small child and single!
my grandma always said, “show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are”
The best advice the mother figure in my life ever gave me was to build my marriage on God alone and everything else will come. 🙂
To be a leader not a follower= )
Thank you for this wonderful giveaway.
my mom told me thing always have a way of working them self out but not always the way we think and she was right so far.
She told me to be consistent and to finish what I’ve started. It really helped me at work and in relationships, especially when I was going through reconciling with an old friend and made a decision to put in more time to get our friendship back on track.
My mother taught me that it is ok to make mistakes, you make them your whole life, so don’t constantly beat yourself up about it.
Thanks for having this giveaway! 🙂
My mother always told me to stand tall and proud!!
My mother’s best advice was to think before doing something.
Honestly, the best advice my mother ever gave me was to NAP. I am a first time mother with an 8 month old. I was so sleep deprived!
the best advise my mom has given me is whatever you do do it the best you can.
Mom gave me lots of great advice but the one I always think of is nothing ventured, nothing gained. Then, of course, there’s always stand up straight, too.

Marry your best friend!
Sadly, I don’t think my mom has really given a lot of advise I can use. 🙁 I am really trying to think of something but I can’t. The only that pops to mind is always use the restroom before you leave the house. lol
Don’t worry; be happy. Worrying can’t add anything so instead trust in God.
Happiness is based on your attitude. Find things to be happy and grateful about.
My mom always said, when things were rough (as they often were), “This too, shall pass.” So simple, yet so right. There is always someone who has it worse, no matter how bad things seem!
Never wear socks with holes in them incase you have to take off your shoes
Just be you. If they truly are your friend they will like you for who you really are.
