Aunt Beth's Butterfly Orange Cake Still Blonde after all these Years

Family get-togethers are always full of exciting new dishes and tons of dessert! This “Butterfly” Orange cake recipe is super moist with a very orange aroma. Originally made by my very own Aunt Beth, it is a perfect summer treat at a get-together. It’s a fresh, sunny taste and looks gorgeous in any shape!

I think my husband would love this cake! If you use a regular pan, you could frost it and decorate with mandarin orange slices.

Love the sunflower pan..so pretty for Easter or fall,
And, I love citrus cakes like orange especially blood orange and or tangerine.
I have a very very old recipe for a scrumptious orange cake that the women in Georgia would make for after working the fields all day long!
Hard working women in the day, hot, grueling and long days.
    Thanks

All the females in the family enjoy that of butterflies to that of the Monarch to Zebra – they are just always an ambition to be free! The recipe seen here (should funds permit) I would love to prepare and design with that of food coloring icing to decorate to resemble that of the chosen butterfly!

This is such a pretty cake. I like how they can make all types of new shapes/sizes with cakes now. Would love to add some more to my collection sometime. I don’t think people make as many cakes now as they did in the 50’s when I grew up. Then, we always hade a cake in the center of the table for every dinner.
