Wear A Little Sweater With That Karina Dress

August 6, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 21 Comments

Sweaters and cardigans change a look

Blog Note: Whoot! I was provided a classic Karina Dresses Jenny for this Wear a Little Sweater Post.

Wear a Little Sweater

The Chief Blonde is wearing Karina Dresses Jenny in Hibiscus  Print ($108), Purple and Clear Statement Necklace (similar), Silpada Silver Earrings (similar), Calvin Klein Sandal  (Old, similar), DKNYC Cardigan (old, similar), Michael Kors Multifunctional tote–my favorite bag ATM ($298 via Shopbop.com and worth every penny). Yes, I am wearing my church name tag!!

Wearing a sweater with a dress

In May’s blog post Poppies! Beautiful Poppies! on the Jenny by Karina Dresses, I featured a gorgeous black and red dress sprinkled with poppies. The dress I am wearing today is the same style but you’d never know it. Just change the print and add wear a little sweater with it and BAHM, the Jenny is a whole new dress, isn’t it?

Jenny Karina Dresses

The Jenny Karina Dresses

Jenny is named for our pal Jennifer from MakobiScribe.com, who works hard, plays hard & loves hard…she faces every challenge with a smile and she inspires us.The Jenny dress features a sweetheart v-neckline that is slightly crossed in the front for nice coverage and swings at the bottom to define the waist at knee length. It’s a great cut for women who have hourglass figures like me.

Like all Karina dresses, the Jenny is made right in the USA in Brooklyn, NY! All Karina Dresses are machine washable and wrinkle-free (perfect for fall vacations).  It was not as fitted around the breast area as many of the Karina styles are. You can find this dress right now in this print and various other prints. But hurry, the fabrics are limited and when they are gone they are gone.

Now that you have seen it twice, will YOU be wearing the Jenny Dress?

These look great and go with so much! I don’t wear long sleeve sweaters, but do like the elbow length shrugs with my dresses and sleeveless tops. They can dress them up, give you more coverage, and keep you warm if you need it. Great choices!

Love the jacket with the dress or sweater with the dress. Just over all, I love layering. Katrina dresses are just very adorable

Oooh! The Jenny may need to be my next Karina dress. Love it and of course it works with my name too. Great with the cardigan as well.

Putting a sweater over this pretty dress really helps with modesty. I am always a bit embarrassed about my big arms.

You definitely wear the Jenny well. And, I love how just adding a little sweater makes it like a completely different outfit.

As always you look great! I love the length of the Jenny dress… it’s not too short, but not matronly either. Super versatile too, and I love pieces that aren’t just wardrobe workhorses, but are also easy to care for and easy to pack! And made in the USA too! WIN!

I like how you accented the bustline on the Jenny too, it really does help the dress transition to many more looks. Karina dresses are easy to dress up or down though!

I love their dresses and all of the fabric choices they offer. No you would never know it is the exact same style of dress because the fabric is what everyone is looking at. Both of your choices are fantastic by the way.

Yet another dress you look absolutely fabulous in! I really like how it’s black and white-you can add so many splashes of color depending on what your mood is at that moment 🙂
