Double Take Dressing, Midi Dress

July 6, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 17 Comments

Midi on the Double!

Blog Note: Whoot! I was provided a classic Karina Dresses Tracy!

Karina Tracey Midi

The Chief Blonde is wearing Karina Dresses Tracy in Apricot Roseblum Print ($138), Purple and Clear Statement Necklace (similar), Silpada Silver Earrings (similar), Jewels for Hope Bracelet ($65), Wedge Lavender Sandal bySimply Vera, Vera Wang for Kohls (similar).  Lipstick: Crème Lip Colour in Tangerine, $24

The Midi, the saga continues

In last month’s  blog post Midi Length Dresses?  Right for You? on the midi-length Tracey by Karina Dresses, I talked about my love/hate relationship with the Midi dress and how I had first worn the length in the 80s. I loved the length for it’s coverage, I hated the length because it can swallow up a short/medium height woman. So now I have given the length a go again here’s the two looks side by side.

Jazz Karina Dresses up with Laura Mercier Creme Lipcolour in Tangerine!

laura mercier tangerine creme lip colour

Laura Mercier Creme Lip Color in this lovely shade of Tangerine delivers ultra-rich color in an irresistibly lightweight formula. I like that it moisturizes along with being anti-aging, antioxidant and it contains plumping ingredients which enhance the lip. You will never tire of this shade Tangerine…one of the Chief Blonde favorite!

Karina Dresses Tracy, a midi length dress

This Tracy dress from Karina dresses is great for inverted triangle, rectangle, and hourglass gals! It’s a sassy mid-length dress with short bell sleeve, cut on the bias making it super easy to wear! I call it a t-shirt cut. I like the slightly longer sleeve as it covers my arms in a good way.

Like all Karina dresses, the Tracy is made right in the USA in Brooklyn, NY! All Karina Dresses are machine washable and wrinkle-free (perfect for spring breaks or summer vacations). I would advise this dress for anyone with an hour glass figure like me!  It was not as fitted around the breast area as many of the Karina styles are.  You can find this dress right now in this print or in some fun paisleys. But hurry, the fabrics are limited and when they are gone they are gone.

Now that you have seen it twice, will YOU be wearing the new Midi length dresses this time around?

I think the material is pretty but I’m partial to the blue pattern on you. It goes so well with your blonde hair.
