Are you eager to cool down from hot flashes? Do they leave you irritable and feeling frustrated? Or even interrupt your night’s sleep?

You may be interested in a medical research study called the Replenish Study. It is evaluating an investigational medication to see if it may reduce the frequency of hot flashes and sweating associated with menopause.

To qualify, you must be:

  • Female between the ages of 40 and 65
  • Have not had a hysterectomy
  • Suffer from several hot flashes a day

Study Participants:

  • Receive study medication at no cost
  • Receive study-related medical exams (similar to an annual gynecologist visit) at no charge
  • Are not required to have insurance
  • May be reimbursed for time, travel and other expenses

To learn more about the Replenish Study and see if you qualify, visit www.ReplenishStudy.com or call 1-800-918-1468.

As well, feel free to ask Replenish Study questions below and a representative will address them.

I’m not quite of age to experience hot flashes just yet but it is great to know that there is some research in place for future treatment.

I will have to look into this further I am currently doing nursing research here at my university so this may be an interesting study to present to class. I do wonder if the study was done by a 3rd party or by the company sometimes that can make a big difference in results.

The research study is evaluating an investigational study medication which is estradiol in combination with progesterone and it is being evaluated in women experiencing hot flashes due to menopause. The estradiol and progesterone used in this study are similar to the natural estrogen and progesterone produced by your ovaries prior to menopause.

Can you have hot flashes before 40? Because I swear I’m getting them at 35!

Unfortunately at this time the REPLENISH Study is only recruiting patients at select research study sites in the U.S. Please check http://www.clinicaltrial.gov to find out if new sites become available in the coming months. [FYI- the company I work for is helping the pharmaceutical company get the word out about the trial.]

My mom barely got them. My grandma didn’t. I’m crossing fingers and toes I inherited their side of the family’s genes for hot flashes. We’ll find out soon enough.

How long is this study? It definitely would be great for those studying from hot flashes!

Your participation in this study will last approximately 13.5 months and include 8 study visits to the study center (a screening period of approximately 6 weeks, followed by about a year of study treatment with the study medication, if you are enrolled in the study). Some procedures during the screening period may require an additional visit to complete.
