Winter Warm up? How About Charleston?

November 18, 2015 By Shelley Zurek 475 Comments

Winter’s Coming! I’m Planning My Getaway now!

This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic

Winter Warm up Shelley Zurek Still Blonde after all these YEARS Women over 50

I’m outta here!

Can you feel it? The snow is coming, the winter cold, and all the slushy yuck! I am a “One Day is Enough” winter person. Get a few outfit shots in the lovely pristine snow and then I am over it! My mind starts drifting to sundresses and sandals or at the very least, light cardigans and darling leather boots.

Since I live in Michigan, the reality is that winter lasts four months+. So I have to plan trips with Walt to bust out of here or I go MAD! This year we are eyeing a trip back to Charleston, SC. It’s just gorgeous there and we adore the architecture.

Where to Stay in Charleston?

This time when Walt and I return to Charleston, we have our eye on staying at the Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District.

What we are looking forward to in the Charleston – Historic District Hyatt House is the location! It’s centrally located in the heart of the Upper King Historic District with over 30 bars and restaurants less than a 10-minute walk away. Charleston, rated the #1 City to visit in America, has convenient access to beautiful beaches, iconic attractions, and unique festivals. The Charleston – Historic District Hyatt House is in the middle of it all it seems to us. PLUS, and this is the deciding factor for me, the Hyatt House has contemporary apartment-style suites. Walt and I can enjoy one-bedroom suites with kitchens and separate living spaces. I’m all about elegance and comfort.

Other bonus features I noticed for the Charleston – Historic District Hyatt House was that if I book directly at Hyatt.com I get the Best Rate Guarantee (we all know how I like to save money). I also noticed that there is free Wifi at all Hyatt Hotels–don’t you just HATE IT when a hotel charges you a massive fee for internet?

PSST! ENJOY 20% OFF 2 NIGHT STAYS OR 25% OFF 3 NIGHT STAYS

Right now when you reserve by November 30, 2015 and stay by January 18, 2016 you can get some real deals at Hyatt. Experience Hyatt’s Warm up with Winter Savings! Enjoy 20% off stays of 2 nights or more and 25% off stays of 3 nights or more at select Hyatt Hotel locations! Use Code: WSALEA

I would probably stay at the Hyatt Place Indianapolis/Keystone. The reason being is because I live in Indiana so this could be a small weekend trip. It wouldn’t get me out of the snow, but it would be new scenery.

My Snow choice would be Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa because hubby loves Colorado and has always wanted to go when there’s snow on the ground (he’s seen snow once in his life – when it snowed here around 10 years ago. It lasted for a few hours on the ground!)

I’d book at either the Hyatt Place San Antonio Airport/Quarry Market or the Hyatt Place San Antonio-North/Stone Oak so we could stay somewhere nice while visiting Sea World for a Winter Warm Up!!

My “snow” choice would be the Hyatt Escala in Park City. I’ve never been to Utah, and it sure looks lovely. Check another state off the list!
