Mine and Kraft’s Best Cheeseburger Recipes
There is nothing quite as satisfying as a good old-fashioned cheeseburger. At our house, we have our own special recipe — as many people do — which we put to good use regularly during grilling season. Is a barbecue even a barbecue without cheeseburgers? Not really. Here’s Walt’s favorite cheeseburger recipe:
- 8 Hamburger Patties (90/10 is what we perfer)
- 8 Whole Wheat Buns
- 8 slices Kraft Natural Aged Swiss Cheese slices
- Bleu cheese for sprinkling
- 8 slices of bacon cooked and halved
- Barbecue sauce
- Grill burgers
- In last 2 minutes of grilling, layer swiss cheese slices on burgers
- Grill Buns
- Plate burgers and buns
- Serve burgers with a sprinkling of bleu cheese, 2 half slices of bacon, and a squirt of barbecue sauce.
While we’re on the subject, is a barbecue a barbecue without some good music? Heck no! How about some Brad Paisley? You bet!
While we do tend to stick with our favorite cheeseburgers, we do like to try out new recipes from time to time. That’s why I was curious to see what kind of cheeseburger recipes Kraft had to offer. And, boy, they did not disappoint!

Oh, cheeseburgers might be my favorite thing, especially with bacon. I don’t care how they’re made, what kind of cheese you use, I’m in.
I can eat a cheeseburger for any meal, even breakfast, lol. I like them pretty much any way you can make them.
These do sound so very good! We haven’t had cheeseburgers in ages. I want to give these a whirl!
Walt’s cheeseburger looks delicious! On Sunday we are having your Cherry Rice Pilaf and lamb; I am thinking about having a “Walt Burger” for Saturday night dinner.
I like to mix grilled onions into the meat before forming the patties, otherwise we are classicists with cheese on top.

This is my absolute favorite burger. I love the combo of bacon, cheese and bbq sauce!
Ours is an oldie but goodie – mix onion soup mix with ground beef. They come out so juicy!
Great photography! I am now so hungry! I like to make burgers with a portabello mushroom on top stuffed with brie.
The only Cheeseburger recipes I like is Walt’s and the cheeseburger with yellow American cheese , lettuce and sliced red tomatoes on top. iTs shown by itself in the top left corner of the Kraft Cheese Pkg! The other 4 are too hot or spicy don’t like it!!
