Vintage Accessories : Making a modern look feel familiar
Oh, how I love to accessorize! One of these days, I will do a post on how I store my accessories, which I am sure will amaze you. Of all my accessories, my vintage accessories are my favs. They just look so unique and really hit the mark when putting together any outfit.
A bright lipstick for spring, like this Limited Edition Laura Mercier in Clementine, is so appropriate. It’s a gel based lip color and the coverage is sheer with the most surprising vanilla flavor!
The Karina Dresses Emily
Location: The “Old” Clarkston United Methodist Church. The Chief Blonde is modeling the Karina Dresses Emily ($118) in Black Stripe Ponte
The Emily from Karina Dresses is a shift/sheath dress that hits at the knee. The fabric that I am wearing the Emily dress in above is black with gorgeous silver metallic stripes. The dress is neutral in a fun way, because it’s not just black/black/black. I found it very easy to accessorize. The Emily is officially now the Chief Blonde’s favorite Karina, a shift/sheath dress always is the perfect fit for me. Currently, the Karina Dresses Emily lists for $118! STEAL!
Like all Karina dresses, the Emily is made right in the USA in Brooklyn, NY! All Karina Dresses are machine washable and wrinkle-free (perfect for spring breaks or summer vacations). I would advise this dress for anyone with an hour glass figure like me! While only currently available in darker work appropriate colors, I hope they bust this dress out in some bright graphic prints for summer!
Super for church, work or travel
I have worn this dress three times since getting it a week ago! It’s hands-down my favorite Karina! It moves easily and works with everything I own. I wore it to church and then Walt snapped these pictures on our way home at the side of the Old Clarkston United Methodist Church (now a residence). Then, I wore it to Chicago for a quick weekend trip to see my new grand neices! After that, I wore the Emily over to our neighbors for drinks and board games. The dress transitioned perfectly, no matter where I wore it.
