VETERANS DAY TRIBUTE–SPECIAL SONG TERRI BRUMIT

November 10, 2009 By Shelley Zurek

Terri Brumit

On November 11, the United States of America will take a moment to recognize the 24.9 million armed forces veterans living in the United States. But one day a year isn’t enough to honor the heroes that commit their lives to keeping America free.

Singer and songwriter Terri Brumit is a native of Marietta, GA and the wife of a retired Special Ops officer. She writes, arranges and performs all her own music, which she refers to as ‘hero music’ and includes the songs “Warriors in the Night,” “Heroes Left Behind,” “They’re My Legacy,” “That Look in His Eye,” “Heading Home,” “Still a Warrior,” “Another Day” and “Thank a Vet.”  The YouTube link today features Terri’s song “Warriors in the night” (UPDATE 8-28-2010 YouTube Video was removed by Terri Brumit).  We at Still Blonde after all these Years! were so moved by the song that we are requesting that all our readers play AND BUY the music to support our troops.  Please play it often and send this blog link to everyone you know…so that Terri’s word can be spread! (Besides SHE IS A BLONDE!)

Terri has a new release  “Still a Warrior,” a song that reminds Americans there’s more to our country’s fighting military men and women than we see on TV. The album is also currently available for sale through Terri’s website at www.TerriBrumit.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

“I have been a Special Forces wife for over thirty years,” says Terri Brumit. “Through those exciting years I have watched Special Operators come and go while doing their jobs with little recognition. Most people will never know what they do or where they go.”
“Still a Warrior” is dedicated to the men and women injured in the line of duty who will spend this Veterans Day watching from the sidelines rather than out on the battlefield. On November 5th and 6th Terri will visit the Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C. to personally deliver free copies of “Still a Warrior” to the wounded warriors currently undergoing treatment.
“It was my honor to write this song about them and to let them know that there are still some Americans that appreciate what they do,” stated Terri when speaking about the evolution of “Still a Warrior.”

This post is dedicated to my dear friend, Thomas Salmon, who served our country as a Navy Seal.
