Tweed is the New Black! Chadwick’s of Boston Wool Coats

December 6, 2016 By Shelley Zurek 70 Comments

Tweed! Dress it Up or Dress it Down this Winter…

Tweed is the New Black! Chadwicks of Boston Wool Coats tweed is the new black shelley zurek

In all the looks, the Chief Blonde is wearing the 3/4 Length Wool Coat from Chadwick’s of Boston.

Chadwick’s of Boston Wool Coats

Years ago, I had a fabulous vintage tweed wool coat. I wore my favorite coat everywhere with everything! And then one day, it was gone! I lost it somewhere and even though I called everyone, searched high and low, and was determined to find a similar one on ebay, I was never able to replace it! *Sad Face*

When I was asked to work with Chadwick’s of Boston and tell you about their wool and leather selections for the colder weather, I was extremely pleased when I found this 3/4 Length Wool Coat in tweed! As you can see from the photo above, I have it on repeat with all my outfits. The coat is so versatile! Chadwick’s of Boston’s wool coats sure have caught my eye.

Tweed and Maroon for Christmas Shopping

How could I go wrong with this maroon outfit with tweed and black shoes paired with my new Chadwick’s of Boston tweed coat? I was also amazed at how affordable the coat was, especially for wool!

Haven’t really heard much about Chadwick’s of Boston lately? You have to check out their website and mailers when delivered to your home. This is the same Chadwick’s of Boston…still trusted, still reliable, BUT with designs and offering that I and my friends would wear.

Rocking Tweed

Tweed surely doesn’t have to be dull and for-office-only. You can see how I got my Rockabilly going with cuffed jeans, vintage inspired shoes and tee, and a fleece hoodie.

I was impressed with the quality of this garment. So many times with coats, they are cut poorly and you can’t even more your arms in them. Don’t you hate that? I was able to move freely in this coat without being overwhelmed.

See this coat really does go with everything. The 3/4 Length Wool Coat from Chadwick’s of Boston Wool Coats department slides easily from Game Day to Shopping Day to evenings out for the holidays.

Pssst! If tweed isn’t your thing look at all the other amazing colors the 3/4 Length Wool Coat comes in (I MUST have that pink one):

If you are looking for other wool coats, be sure to check Chadwick’s of Boston Wool Shop. They have a wide selection of feminine skirts, modern blazers, warm outerwear, and a classic sheath.

Need a leather jacket or blazer for the holidays and the winter weather beyond? Visit Chadwick’s of Boston’s Luxe Leather and Suede offerings…they even have a red leather blazer which I ADORE and have my eye on for Valentine’s Day!

I love the look of Tweed and that jacket is gorgeous. It looks so warm without being super heavy.

That would be great in this cold weather we are starting to get around here. It looks warm and comfy. I think tweed jackets look pretty nice and dressy without being too dressy. Does that make sense?

I love the how versatile the tweed is, it truly does go with everything. I feel as if it’s a true classic. Wonderful to see it paired so many ways. I agree that the pink is a must have as well.

That is a really nice coat. I like longer coats like that because they are more warm.

Looks great! I have ordered from Chadwicks for over 30 years and I always find something suitable and “ladylike.” Their clothes have grown and changed just like I have but are still flattering 🙂

Tweed…I didn’t know but how fun. Tweed is nice and comes in different colors, too. I like how you show different outfits. That shoe broach is so you. Very cute and adds a nice touch.
