I know that adult coloring books sound a little racy. But really these coloring books are simply coloring books that adults enjoy coloring. They are more intricate with more purpose than a child’s coloring book.

I love how Jane Monk shows you different ways to color (shade, layer and straight color) and other techniques (marking, what colors to put together). The designs are inviting and simply pull you in and make you want to get out your colored pencils…even if you haven’t colored in years.

Why does this appeal to me? Because I confess, the truth, I AM an old hippie and this is like a trip! The pics are very trippy!

Wow, this coloring book looks incredible. I love the idea of it containing the different techniques to make your coloring look better. I have been thinking of getting into the adult coloring books (and yes, when I first heard of them I admit I thought they were something dirty and had to look them up to see what they were real quick) for the stress reducing qualities that have been linked to them. I am not an artistic person at all in the least bit so the idea of having someone explaining them to you is awesome. Plus, over on Amazon one of the reviewers put up some pictures of some of the pages and they are beautiful. I think I’ll get a copy regardless!
