Tangled Treasures and Tangled Gardens Coloring Book
by Jane Monk
I received these Adult Coloring Books from Quarto Publishing: Tangled Treasures Coloring Book ( Amazon), Tangled Gardens Coloring Book ( Amazon).
What is an Adult Coloring Books?
I know that adult coloring books sound a little racy. But really these coloring books are simply coloring books that adults enjoy coloring. They are more intricate with more purpose than a child’s coloring book.
Unlike painting, you don’t need to have the skills or training of an artist to create masterpieces. Thanks to the design of the Tangled Coloring Books, all you need to do is pick the colors you prefer and color within the lines. You’ll temporarily disconnect from the everyday hustle and bustle, escaping to a world filled with creativity, inspiration, and serenity.
The Chief Blonde Remarks:
Tangled Gardens Coloring Book by Jane Monk – If the snow and cold stress you out, cozy up to Jane Monk’s Tangled Gardens. Use your brightest pigments to create a warm and inviting garden while you wait for spring to return. I was really drawn to this coloring book. The designs were fresh and did not have a dated “era” feel to me. I felt the 52 designs were whimsical and intricate to color. Tangled Gardens has the excitement of a 500 piece puzzle.
Tangled Treasures Coloring Book by Jane Monk – The soothing flow of tangling plus the meditative action of coloring makes this book a treat. I love how Jane Monk shows you different ways to color (shade, layer and straight color) and other techniques (marking, what colors to put together). The designs are inviting and simply pull you in and make you want to get out your colored pencils…even if you haven’t colored in years.

I love that these designs are flowing and unstructured.
I think it’s wonderful for us adults to have something like this.
I like the designs in the book. I think using coloring books like this would help me be calm.
I love the intricate designs! Perfect way to unwind after a long day!
It appeals to me because the designs look really beautiful. I especially like the seahorse design one of the reviewers posted.
I love that this book has so many circular designs!
I love that these coloring books are challenging. They take time to color and at the same time are relaxing.
I like how there’s a mix of very intricate designs and simpler ones. It looks like it had a lot of variety.
My daughter is almost 6 and she is an aspiring artist! She wants to be an art teacher when she grows up. I would love this coloring book so we could share it and collaborate together.
The pages look so artistic like murals that I’d want to color them and then hang them
The designs appear to be intricate and high quality.
I like the details of each design and I’m sure it will relax me!
I love that some of the pictures are very intricate, while some of the pictures offer more open spaces where you can be creative and fill it in if you want.
I like this book because in the beginning it leads “you through some basic techniques for using colored pencils or fine-point markers to color the designs, including skills like shading and blending.”
I love that it has 128 pages and you can use markers and colored pencils.
I love that it teaches shading and blending. I use 3mm ink pens when coloring, and sometimes watercolor pencils for larger backgrounds. Shading and blending is a technique I’m just starting to learn.
I like that this is done by a certified specialist, and the designs are created with relaxation in mind.
I think these would be very relaxing and piece full to do, always in need of something like this.
I love the creative and intricate designs to color!
I like the paisley shapes in it.
