Spring Wardrobe Building Blocks

April 11, 2018 By Shelley Zurek 35 Comments

Spring Wardrobe Building Blocks are all the basic foundational pieces that make your spring wardrobe work. Whether it’s that cute new color of Converse Shoreline All-stars or basic tees or a snazzy belt…it’s those elements that help your looks sing and have zing.

Spring wardrobe building blocks

Spring time is different through out the country. It comes early for some and late for others.  In Michigan, spring is like a wisdom tooth. It keeps peeking out and then disappears for a few weeks, only to rear it’s head again. It’s finally a time to throw sweaters and jackets aside and a chance to wear a shirt or a dress without being covered.

That’s where spring wardrobe building blocks come into play. It’s a perfect time to update your spring wardrobe and vacation wear. Shop resortwear and shop dresses, and shoes  featured on Still Blonde after all these YEARS.  You can focus your purchases or items pulled out of storage, on basic elements and elements that will enhance your still needed warmer pieces and give them that spring feel.

Spring is also a wonderful time to grab those super discounted winter items and sock them away for next year. Try to emphasize winter wardrobe building blocks with those purchases and avoid trendy items that may not be in style when winter rolls around again.

Here are my spring wardrobe building blocks that are my favs!!

Belt/Coat/Converse

Shirt/Clog/Jeans

Jumpsuit/Earrings/Heels

You’ll note that my spring wardrobe building block pieces are often mix and match. I also try to chose items that go from casual to dressy. Another focus are buying accessories. You know me, I buy shoes and then buy the outfit so my spring purchases often start there.

You have a fun sense of style. I meant to stock up one winter wardrobe essentials but didn’t get around to it. Now, of course they’re gone from stores.

Very cute picks. I am horrible, I just wear the same old things. In fact right now I am wearing a shirt I detest. I need to get more flair. We are the same age, and we dont dress much alike, I need to get with it
