Easy Family Dinner + a Value Meal
Revisit Hamburger Helper with a Free Ground Beef Rebate
I recently had the opportunity to retry Hamburger Helper. I was initially surprised at the number of new flavors on my grocer’s shelf. After about 5 minutes of hungry contemplation, I choose Hamburger Helper Four Cheese Lasagna, Crunchy Taco, and Potatoes Stroganoff.
My local Kroger had the Hamburger Helper on sale 2/$3.00. I knew that if I bought three boxes of Hamburger Helper, I could get a free pound of ground beef with this rebate. Did you know you can feed a family of 4 with one box of Hamburger Helper and one pound of beef?
When I consulted the back of the Hamburger Helper box, they gave “Fresh Twists” for adding in your own fresh ingredients. Gaining inspiration from their suggestions, I grabbed spinach and mushrooms to add my own fresh spin on Hamburger Helper four cheese lasagna.
Walt and I adore spinach and mushrooms, the addition of these ingredients to the Hamburger Helper four cheese lasagna takes the meal to new heights!
- One box Hamburger Helper Four Cheese Lasagna
- 8-12 oz fresh spinach
- 8 oz fresh white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 Tsp olive oil or butter
- Prepare Hamburger Helper Four Cheese Lasagna according to package instructions.
- Meanwhile, saute mushrooms in butter or olive oil
- Once Hamburger helper is done, stir in mushrooms and fresh spinach. Cook on low heat 5 minutes more
- Enjoy!

This looks like a delicious recipe that is so simple to make. I have been making Hamburger helper for years.
Adding in the veggies is a great way to sneak them into a meal, lasagna in particular is a great one to do it with because there are so many different textures in it already.

I have to admit I used to love HH, but kind of lost a taste for it as an adult. BUT THIS LOOKS AMAZING! I can sometimes get the boxes here in Singapore, and am definitely going to look for it.
This looks delicious and easy. It’s a great way to stretch a meal when the kids invite friends over for dinner.
