Author: Shelley Zurek
Recipe type: Pizza
Cuisine: Italian
Serves: 1 crust
Ingredients
- For PIzza Crust
- One large Spaghetti Squash
- water
- One egg, beaten
- ⅔ cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbs. Parmesan cheese
- ¼ teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
- Cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out seeds with spoon. In a 13 x 9" glass baking pan, place both halves flesh side down. Fill pan with water ½" deep (this will help to steam the squash). Cook in microwave, on high for 15 minutes. Let sit 5 minutes after removing.
- Remove spaghetti squash from baking pan. Use fork to pull out the strands of spaghetti squash (the squash will come out in long spaghetti like strands) and place in a mixing bowl. Discard squash outer layer. Let strands cool slightly.
- Into a mixing bowl, measure out 3½ cups of spaghetti squash per pizza crust (you will probably only have enough for one pizza, set the remainder aside for another great dish).
- Pile the half the spaghetti squash into a cheesecloth or thin dish towel, twist cloth to form a closed sack and squeeze out all water. Discard water. Repeat with the remaining half. The more moisture you get out, the more crust-like the pizza crust will be. Return squash to mixing bowl.
- Add beaten egg, the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to the spaghetti squash. Stir together.
- Press squash mixture in a thin, even layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape into an approximate 10-inch circle.
- Bake at 400°F for approximately 20 minutes. Remove from oven, carefully flip, and cook for another 10 minutes. ( Tip: The best way I discovered to flip the spaghetti squash crust was to line another pan with parchment paper. Place it over top of pizza crust, and flip the pizza crust into the new pan. You can also use a spatula but you definitely risk breaking the crust.)

I would get the spiralizer- looks like a lot of fun
I would choose the Mueller’s Hidden Veggie Pasta, Thin Spaghetti. We use thin spaghetti in most of our Italian meals and would get the most use out of this pasta.
I’d make some bread out of that spaghetti squash. My kids love all sorts of homemade breads.
I want to try the hidden veggies pastas.
I would love to try the Natalia’s Sweet Potato Tomato Sauce it sounds delicious and I love sweet potatoes..This would be great!
id buy the Seeds of Change Certified Organic Squash, Winter, Spaghetti – 3.3 grams, 20 Seeds Pack we started a veggie garden and these would be a wonderful and nutritious addition to it.
I like the Spiral Slicer Spiralizer Complete Bundle – Vegetable Spiralizer and Cutter – Zucchini Pasta Noodle Spaghetti Maker
by Kitchen Supreme I can use this on mutliply veggies.
I would choose the pound of strawberries! I’m not sure what they have to do with the spaghetti squash, but they are listed there and I love strawberries!
I use spaghetti squash a lot but would love a spiralizer so I can make “noodles” from other veggies, too.
Mueller’s Hidden Veggie Pasta, Spaghetti, 12 Ounce (Pack of 20) I love Pasta in any way
I’d get the cool vegetable spiralizer so that I could try making that squash spaghetti 🙂
I would love to try the “Pasta Partners Plentiful Butternut Squash Fioretti, 1 Pound” .. I do not like any Squash~ But I love Pasta. So I figured it might taste ok in the Pasta Form~
I would love to own the Spaghetti Squash: Learn How to Cook Spaghetti Squash with Delicious Spaghetti Squash Recipes! book because I love spaghetti squash but I dont know many ways to use it other than like spaghetti.

I could really use the Spiral Slicer Spiralizer Complete Bundle – Vegetable Spiralizer and Cutter – Zucchini Pasta Noodle Spaghetti Maker. I’d love to be able to spiral slice my veggies.
I would love the vegetable spiralizer because it would make spiralizing my squash and other veggies so much easier.
I love the Victorinox 10 Inch Rosewood Chef’s Knife. I love spaghetti squash but have a hard time cutting them in half. Maybe this knife would help me with it.
Since I have an unnatural craving ALL the time for ALL things sweet, I’d pick the Natalia’s Sweet Potato Tomato Sauce. Sweet potatoes are about the only thing that I can eat that’s sweet but is not going to cause me to end up in the dentist’s office AGAIN! I think this is a great recipe, and I definitely would try it! Now my husband, well, he can go get something from the drive through. I have not had fast food in over 7 years, and I’ve been working out DAILY for 18 months to get my body back in shape and get healthy. I just wish I had done it sooner. Better late than never! Recipes like this keep me motivated to continue eating and living healthy. We only have one body. I think mine deserves to be treated right since I wreaked havoc on it when I was younger. Oh, the ignorance of youth! Thank you for sharing! Have a great day!
Mueller’s Hidden Veggie Pasta, Spaghetti. I love the idea of getting a whole vegetable serving in every four ounces of this spaghetti.
I would have not have thought to make pizza with spaghetti squash.
