The Shopping Coat: Janska Boulder Coat and Dillion Hat Review

December 7, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 326 Comments

FOUND!  The Perfect Shopping Coat– Janska Boulder Coat

Janska Dillion Hat Boulder Coat Colorado Collection

Janska’s first ambassador, Shelley Zurek , the Chief Blonde, was provided the Janska Boulder Coat in Check ($174). In this photo, she is also carrying her favorite bag the ($298), Vintage Pedrino Bow Booties ()

I am always and forever freezing. Needless to say, from November to March you will often see me in a hideous full length green down coat. I am not kidding. Function over form when it comes to warmth.

However, I am still menopausal. So I can go from freezing to hot in a snap! When I go shopping in a mall, or to one of my nephew’s basketball games this Janska Boulder Coat is just the perfect weight of coat to wear. This washable heather, faux felted wool coat features a wing collar and an open cascading front. Generous patch pockets and contrasting black stitching add that extra touch to this fashionable cover- up.

This is a coat I would take on a trip as well because it can go from casual to dress without missing a beat. Below, I wore the jacket to a Christmas concert at a local Mega-church in Plymouth, MI.

The Chief Blonde is wearing the Janska Boulder Jacket and is holding the Janska Dillion Hat $39 (both part of the Colorado Collection). She is also wearing Rag & Bone Stiletto Jeans ($129 on Sale) and Vintage Hale Bob Oxford heels.

The Dillion hat is so sweet. I wore both the coat and the matching Dillion hat shopping. I had a man come up to me and ask me if I was a designer. He loved the pairing so much! My sister-in-law loved the coat and hat as well, because she too agreed the Janska Boulder Coat is the perfect shopping coat.

I am trying to build a year-round hat wardrobe, so I would say the Spiral Brim Hat, it is unique, don’t see that design at all as I shop for hats, and they have a ton of colors!

I’d love to have the Margot Wrap! It looks comfy and cozy for the warm winter months! It seems casual enough to wear with jeans, at the same time, it looks fashionable enough to dress up and wear to a holiday party!

My favorite is the MocSocks® Booties. I could wear them for shuffling around the house or even use them for extra warmth in my work boots.
