What is a Skat Skoota?

January 20, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 92 Comments

Toys from the ’60s  Skat Skoota + Great Giveaway

Blog Note: The Chief Blonde brings you the Skat Skoota information for your enjoyment. She received a promotional item.skat skoota collage 3

Skat-Skoota  (or Skat Skoota) is like Walking on Wheels!

The Skat Skoota made by Empire (or Eagle Toys Canada),  from the 1960s was a riot to play on and also a total death trap. Essentially, you pedaled it to ride it. The pedals often got stuck in a wonky way, throwing you from the toy and causing skinned knees and hands (WHO wore pads or helmets in the ’60s?)

The tires and wheels of the Skat Skoota were brightly colored polyethylene. It was a super durable toy. You can occasionally find Skat Skootas for sale on eBay. They tend to go for around $20. If you find one buy it! Although this toy only goes in a straight line, it provides hours of fun (and/or broken limbs!)

I like the care 4 today app that is discussed. I have a hard time remembering if and when I took all the meds I take daily. This would be useful to me.

MyMedical looks like it would be awesome… I have way too many appointments to keep up with for my family – anything that would help me not have overlaps in the schedule would be wonderful!

I need the Care4Today App. I have big problems with remembering to take my medicine. But I have no problem reminding my husband to take his. Go figure.
