I Resolve to Reclaim Fitness: Back to my Walking Routine
Today’s discussion on “Reclaim Fitness” is brought to you by Poise Impressa® Bladder Supports.
Ahhh Winter…You have robbed me of my walking routine!
I don’t like to walk outside in the winter, do you? It’s cold and slushy. While some find winter invigorating, I just find it annoying on every level. I can’t wear my cute shoes, my wonderful outfits are always covered by a coat, and my mood is just darker. Truthfully, I stop my outside walking routine in the winter because I am afraid of falling.
Ahhh LBL…You have robbed me of my walking routine!
Even during warmer months, my beloved walking routine is a challenge. Why? Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) robs me of my pleasure in my daily walk even along the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. LBL is a light uninvited urinary leakage that occurs with certain triggers. Exercise, like walking, can often lead to LBL. In fact, many simple movements or jumping, walking, and running can all lead to Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) or LBL. Sometimes, I have to cut my walks through the neighborhood short, and sneak through my neighbors’ yards to get home in my frustration.
I knew I needed a product that could help me reclaim my fitness routine. While I have discovered many products that address LBL after it happens, I find the best kind of product to help with LBL, is a product like Poise Impressa® Bladder Supports that stop leaks BEFORE they happen. In the diagram above, you will note that Impressa is inserted like a tampon. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports gently lift, or support, the urethra to help stop unexpected leaks.
I discovered, I can still use the bathroom normally while using Impressa. This was something I wondered about. But the best part about Impressa Bladder supports is I can also go about my everyday activities and fitness routine, whether it be laughing, coughing, sneezing, lifting or walking, with a renewed freedom and confidence.
Where to find and how to fit Poise Impressa Bladder Supports?
For me, Poise Impressa Bladder Supports were a brand new product and I had no idea where to find them. My local Walmart carries Impressa in the Adult Protection aisle. Impressa was in this neat display, shown above, that made it easy to understand how to buy the product.
- First start by visiting your local Walmart, visit the Adult Protection aisle and purchase the Impressa Sizing Kit to determine the bladder support that fits your unique anatomy. (Each kit contains two of each size).
- Your jean size does not determine your Impressa size.
- Impressa encourages you to start with size 1 and if you experience leaks, move on to Size 2 and then Size 3.
- Once you determine your size, just head back to Walmart and purchase your size.
- Embarrassed about purchasing? I was at first and then I found out that bladder leakage is a real, frustrating but common problem that affects 1 in 3 women. So don’t be embarrassed, instead try purchasing this solution on your next trip to Walmart like I did.

I have heard about Poise Impressa Bladder Supports, it sounds like a great product to help people with light bladder leakage. Thank you for sharing this review.
I don’t have any issues with bladder leakage. I do love that they made these products this way though. Makes it easier for those that don’t like the pads. It’s a great idea!
I am so happy there is help for those women suffering from LBL. Such a magnificent way to help activate back your activity. They seem very comfortable.
These supports are giving women their freedome back. It would be terrible to be held back from the thi gs you love to do because of LBL.
These are a must in my life! I have had 5 kids, now pregnant with the 6th my bladder is not the same. Every time I cough, sneeze or laugh the flood gates open up!
It’s great that there is finally a product out there to help with this problem. I know many who could benefit from these.
How comfortable do you find these? I hear they can get some getting used to which has held me back from purchasing them. But I love the idea of these!
Barrie, the Sizing pack is only $3.97 and if you buy it at Walmart, I am sure you can return. GIve them a while. The Chief Blonde
after having three kids and getting older, LBL is no fun. Laughing too hard can bring it on. Thanks for sharing your story
I think these Impressa aids are genius- What a great way to restore confidence and activity when one of life’s little annoyances sneaks in. I had LBL after a UTI once and it really benched me for a few weeks. I wonder if Impressa would have helped?
It is amazing what age and having children will do to our body. The Poise Impressa Bladder Supports are a great relief for many women.
What a great product! It’s so hard to keep an exercise routine when you don’t have extra issues to deal with. Glad there is something to help women with LBL.
I think that it is great to have a product like this easily available. It will help a lot of women who have light bladder leakage
started walking again
I tell you, after three kids sometimes I am afraid to get back into the things I used to love to do… Like jumping jacks, dance class, and even just squats. LOL… this is great… thanks for sharing
LBL is definitely no fun at all. It really can make staying active a challenge.
I need at least start thinking about walking… Maybe this way I will actually get ready once the ice melts – I need to start feeling better
Will be checking this out.
Interesting. I’ve of heard of LBL but this is my first time hearing about Poise’s Impressa bladder supports. Sounds like a good product for those with LBL.
This sounds like a really great product to look into.
Thankfully I don’t have LBL issues, but there is a group of ladies in my zumba class that groan anytime a song with jumps come on 🙂
