“Reboot Springtime Routine” Fixodent

March 31, 2013 By Shelley Zurek 375 Comments

 Control your Spring Regime

Still Blonde after all these YEARS smells the flowers

Bright flowers, fresh vegetables and warm weather – what’s not to love about Spring? Now is the perfect time for your readers to come out of hibernation from the cold winter months and take control of their diet, health and exercise regime, while enjoying Spring with confidence.

3 Helpful tips to reboot your Springtime routine

1.     Diet:  March is National Nutrition Month, so start spring off right! Jump start your metabolism by eating a balanced breakfast daily which will help boost energy levels and increase calories burned throughout the day.

2.     Exercise:  March is the month to trim your tummy, strengthen your core and gain confidence in your appearance. Even if working out at the gym every day is unrealistic, make exercise fun and part of a regular routine with daily walks or hiking excursions.  With the improved weather, fresh air will be an added plus.

3.     Health:  Did you know that 20 million women ages 40+ wear dentures (according to 2009 Fixodent Beauty & Aging Survey)? It can be a challenge for denture wearers to keep their mouth healthy and clean, while enjoying all the fun outdoor activities that Spring has to offer with confidence. Fortunately, using an adhesive like Fixodent is a simple step to make a difference. Fixodent protects your mouth from hidden dangers. It helps seal out food particles and kills odor-causing bacteria for a clean mouth and fresh breath

Fixodent has provided this product video to help denture wearers get the most out of their denture wearing experience.  Put a little ‘spring’ and confidence in your step!

Fixodent wants to make sure you can  have a little fun this spring.  They are providing a Fixodent and a $100 Amazon Gift Code to help with your Spring Reboot!

After brushing, rinse with a mouthwash, such as Scope®, to give your mouth a refreshed feeling. – I tend to skip the mouthwash when I am in a hurry.

The best tip I found was “Visit your dental professional regularly as recommended by the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Rely on him or her for advice and answers to specific questions about your oral care.”.

I think generally, people have slacked on dental care due to the economy. People are trying to cut corners where they can. I am one who has bad teeth(due to childhood illness and a high school eating disorder…drinking a TON of diet soda daily) and my dream is always to fix them. People do not realize that good dental care and proper denture fitting and care is a BIG part of general health care. Setting yourself up for unhealthy mouth with poor diet, unclean practices and neglect will catch up with you soon enough. I can attest and is expensive to fix.

Since I don’t have dentures I was most interested in the tips about keeping you natural teeth, and I found the one about using mouthwash interesting, since in the past I haven’t really thought it was that important of a step.

Thanks for having this giveaway! 🙂

    (1) Keep your dentures moist when you aren’t wearing them. <-I've seen this way to often with older relatives when I was very young, and they look scary and gross when they get all dried up and nasty looking!

Never try to adjust your dentures yourself. <-You don't want a crooked smile like the cheshire cat!

i don’t have dentures myself but my mom does… it think she would find this one interesting.

Swish your mouth with warm water or a mouthwash, such as Scope. Fill the sink with warm water to avoid breaking the dentures if they are dropped.

“After brushing, rinse with a mouthwash, such as Scope®, to freshen your mouth.” I always thought you’re supposed to use mouthwash FIRST, to loosen up any gunk.

The most beneficial tip is caring for your natural teeth by keeping up with regular dentist visits. It’s much easier to take care of a problem when it’s caught early, rather than waiting until you have a huge issue. I’ve learned this the hard way and ended up in the Dental ER at 11:00 PM!

The most beneficial tip for me was to keep up your regular dentist visits. Since entering adulthood, I haven’t gone to the dentist as regularly as I did when I was younger. This tip is a good reminder!

Swish your mouth with warm water or a mouthwash! Mouthwash is great for removing germs & plaque, as well as keeping your breath minty-fresh! 🙂
