“Reboot Springtime Routine” Fixodent

March 31, 2013 By Shelley Zurek 375 Comments

 Control your Spring Regime

Still Blonde after all these YEARS smells the flowers

Bright flowers, fresh vegetables and warm weather – what’s not to love about Spring? Now is the perfect time for your readers to come out of hibernation from the cold winter months and take control of their diet, health and exercise regime, while enjoying Spring with confidence.

3 Helpful tips to reboot your Springtime routine

1.     Diet:  March is National Nutrition Month, so start spring off right! Jump start your metabolism by eating a balanced breakfast daily which will help boost energy levels and increase calories burned throughout the day.

2.     Exercise:  March is the month to trim your tummy, strengthen your core and gain confidence in your appearance. Even if working out at the gym every day is unrealistic, make exercise fun and part of a regular routine with daily walks or hiking excursions.  With the improved weather, fresh air will be an added plus.

3.     Health:  Did you know that 20 million women ages 40+ wear dentures (according to 2009 Fixodent Beauty & Aging Survey)? It can be a challenge for denture wearers to keep their mouth healthy and clean, while enjoying all the fun outdoor activities that Spring has to offer with confidence. Fortunately, using an adhesive like Fixodent is a simple step to make a difference. Fixodent protects your mouth from hidden dangers. It helps seal out food particles and kills odor-causing bacteria for a clean mouth and fresh breath

Fixodent has provided this product video to help denture wearers get the most out of their denture wearing experience.  Put a little ‘spring’ and confidence in your step!

Fixodent wants to make sure you can  have a little fun this spring.  They are providing a Fixodent and a $100 Amazon Gift Code to help with your Spring Reboot!

I think this tip is helpful: If your denture has metal attachments, talk to your dentist about how it should be cared for. Placing this particular denture in water can cause the metal pieces to tarnish.

My grandmother wears dentures and I think she overlooks this tip.

Never try to adjust your dentures yourself. I find this most beneficial because you don’t want to damage your dentures and end up with a bad fit and additional expenses.

My son has a partial denture and I wasn’t aware that that brushing your gums and tongue with a fluoride toothpaste, such as Crest®, before reinserting your dentures helps stimulate circulation in your mouth, and help maintain good oral health.

Rinsing with a mouthwash is a tip that never goes out of style. Fresh breath is something you don’t think about it until you’re too close to someone who doesn’t have it. Rinse that mouth!

I find the tip Never try to adjust your dentures yourself. My mom use to do that when she’d get a sore spot on her gums and she’d shave off a bit of her dentures

The tip to brush your gums, tongue, and natural teeth with a fluoride toothpaste, such as Crest®, before reinserting your dentures. This will help remove plaque from your teeth, stimulate circulation in your mouth, and help maintain good oral health is a good one. Not only do you have to take care to clean your dentures/partials. it is important to keep down the germs the live inside the mouth.

I like the brush every day with Crest tip since I still worry about cavities and want to delay further dental problems.

I like the fact that they give tips on how to keep your natural teeth healthy. It gives the idea that they care about all of your oral health instead of just denture related things.

The most beneficial is “Keep up your regular dentist visits.” That is so important because if you don’t go on a regular basis, sometimes you won’t know you have a dental issue which can turn into other health problems down the road!

I like the tip about Swish your mouth with warm water or a mouthwash, such as Scope when removing your dentures. Also do it over a sink full of water, in case you drop them. Never thought of this before, great tips.

While I knew it was necessary to keep dentures moist when not in use, I had no idea they could lose their shape if dry or could warp in hot water. It’s an important piece of info because dentures are a huge investment!

The mist beneficial tip I read was NOT to use more then 3 thin strips of the adhesive-I never realized it contained Zinc! Will definitely be more careful when applying from now on. I also did not realize that I could order direct and have it delivered! THAT is very good to know!!

I found the tip to brush every day with a fluoride toothpaste the most helpful. I think it’s important to stress the benefit of caring for the teeth you have.
