Poppy Dresses : Mixing flowers and Leather on a Sunday afternoon
Walt and I usually go to church on Sundays. He is Catholic and I am Methodist so we take turns at each others church. I like to dress up for church for several reasons. First, I am of that age where I think dressing up is important whenever you go out but especially for church. Second, I never seem to leave the house, so when I go out it gives me a chance to get spiffy!
We had both have had it with winter and terrible weather up to our eyeballs, so Walt surprised me by taking me to the lovely local nursery for our photo session. It was just the breath of spring I needed. The setting worked well with this Karina Dresses Jenny in Scarlet Poppy, don’t you think? I love the play of the flowers against the leather jacket and booties!
The Karina Dresses Jenny
Location: Bordine’s Nursery. The Chief Blonde is modeling the Karina Dresses Jenny ($158) in Scarlet Poppy
The Jenny from Karina Dresses has a sweetheart v-neckline that is slightly crossed in the front for nice coverage, swings at the bottom to define the waist, and hits knee length. This print that I am wearing is so stunning with the bright red flowers with yellow and green splashes against the black background. I loved the pattern instantly and the fit of the Jenny dress makes this my second favorite Karina style after the Emily.
Like all Karina dresses, the Jenny is made right in the USA in Brooklyn, NY! All Karina Dresses are machine washable and wrinkle-free (perfect for spring breaks or summer vacations). I would advise this dress for anyone with an hour glass figure like me! It was not as fitted around the breast area as many of the Karina styles are. You can find this dress right now in this print or in some fun paisleys. But hurry, the fabrics are limited and when they are gone they are gone.
The Jenny is your summer weekend dress
I can see me wearing this dress to graduation open houses, weekend trips and without the jacket some red shoes to church. The easy care of a Karina dress makes the whole look so elegant.
