Laugh. Live. Leak?
Today’s discussion of Poise Impressa Bladder Supports is brought to you by Socialstars and Poise. #LadiesWithPoise
Why was the Hoover Dam built?
Recently, I visited the Hoover Dam with Walt, my father, and my aunt and uncle. It was such a beautiful day to catch all the vistas from the Dam. While some of us had been to the Hoover Dam before, none of us had ever taken the tours to explain why the Hoover Dam was built. Through the course of the day, we realized the dam was a tremendous solution to a long standing problem. People wanted to irrigate low lying plains, known as low desert areas, without suffering from flooding and the battle over water. The United States government realized that controlling the mighty Colorado River and hence the building of the dam was part of the solution.
A deserved solution
Bladder leakage is a real, frustrating but common problem that affects 1 in 3 women. Trigger points for bladder leakage include coughing, laughing, exercise (even walking) and sneezing. It seems that women should be able to have products that are designed to help with this issue. Much like the Hoover Dam was a tremendous solution to a long standing problem, women deserve a solution to their light bladder leakage problem.
Poise* Impressa* Bladder Supports is such a solution. The product is designed to help women with bladder leakage. Inserted into the vagina like a tampon, Poise Impressa Bladder Supports gently lift, or support, the urethra to help stop unexpected leaks. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports help women change the conversation about bladder leakage from one of a taboo subject to a normal one where women can talk about it with others who are most likely experiencing it too.
Poise Impressa Bladder Supports: Features that help you laugh not leak…
The Hoover Dam has many different features which enable the dam to perform its designed task to provide a controlled water supply to 7 states. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports also have features which help women to address their light bladder issues:
- Available in three sizes that adapt to the unique internal shape of each woman’s body–try the Impressa Sizing Kit to find the size that works
- Designed to stop leaks before they happen
- Prevent leaks up to 8 hours
- Safe, comfortable and effective
When building the Hoover Dam, many hours were spent discussing a adequate solution but it was the communication that brought the project in 2 years early and under budget. In the same light, women should be able to have normal conversations around light bladder leakage such that they can consider solutions that work for them.
Solutions are important to reducing frustrations whether the Hoover Dam, an engineering marvel, constructed over 80 years ago or the revolutionary, new Poise Impressa Bladder Supports – the first over-the-counter internal product designed to help stop leaks before they happen. Solutions help to relieve worry and allow experiencing a renewed sense of freedom and confidence to enjoy active, fulfilling lives.

After 3 kids, I do leak at the most inconvenient times. I am very interested in trying the Impressa bladder supports. What a great concept!
It’s definitely important to discuss this issue. It’s super common and it can prevent a lot of people from wanting to go out and enjoy life! I love the Hoover Dam comparison!
Hehehe. The hoover dam is a good analogy for the feeling. We do need to talk about this issue. Supporting each other is important.
Super interesting! Thanks for explaining how they work! I was super curious!! I thankfully dont have this issue at the time but Im sure after I have more kiddos and age a bit more it’ll happen lol!! Life right 😉
I feel like my bladder is the Hoover Dam! I am 16 weeks pregnant and every time I cough or sneeze – look out! I will have to try these!
Wow what a comparison! This is a great product! I am so glad it’s there if/when I need it. Especially after having 6 kids I’m sure I’ll need it sooner rather than later.
Poise has been a life saver. Let me tell you that giving birth was rough, but then learning about light bladder leakage after… ouch! Thank goodness for poise.
It definitely helps to bring an issue like this into the conversation since so many women share the problem and need information.
It is time! Thanks for sharing!
I think the conversation has been tweeted, facebooked and instagrammed. It’s been started. I think we are all comfortable with it. Although I like your lead in topic.
I love that Poise is creating products that are helping women! It is time that the conversation is getting started by Poise about this subject.
I love that people are becoming able to talk about things like this without worrying about the stigma. It’s really great and it will help many women who were embarassed about common health issues.
I use to laugh every time my mom coughed or sneezed. Yep not anymore I don’t but poise is our BFF these days.
After having my son I have had LBL and it drives me nuts. I want to run again! I will have to check into these.
I’m going to be out that way and hope to take some time from my conference activities to drive out to Hoover Dam. Love the photos. And, I totally agree that it is time people talk about those more embarrassing things. Otherwise, we all suffer in silence.
I totally agree, I love that you are bringing a typically “taboo” subject to light! I think the Poise features are pretty genius, glad there are new options out there.
I think it is great that so much attention is bring brought to this subject! More women need to know that they are not the only ones that are going through it.
Great comparison! The Hoover Dam looks like such a cool place to visit. Need to go there at some point
These look like a product I can get behind. I am not a big fan of the underwear, but these are totally discreet and will do great. I can’t wait to try them out.
I totally agree! No one could tell if I wore these, that is important!
Hmm. Yes, I can see this being a conversation with moms and older women 🙂 though I’m sure we all have these day-to-day as well.
I don’t have leakage issues myself, but there is a whole group of moms in my zumba class that groans whenever a song with jumps comes on.
