Laugh. Live. Leak?
Today’s discussion of Poise Impressa Bladder Supports is brought to you by Socialstars and Poise. #LadiesWithPoise
Why was the Hoover Dam built?
Recently, I visited the Hoover Dam with Walt, my father, and my aunt and uncle. It was such a beautiful day to catch all the vistas from the Dam. While some of us had been to the Hoover Dam before, none of us had ever taken the tours to explain why the Hoover Dam was built. Through the course of the day, we realized the dam was a tremendous solution to a long standing problem. People wanted to irrigate low lying plains, known as low desert areas, without suffering from flooding and the battle over water. The United States government realized that controlling the mighty Colorado River and hence the building of the dam was part of the solution.
A deserved solution
Bladder leakage is a real, frustrating but common problem that affects 1 in 3 women. Trigger points for bladder leakage include coughing, laughing, exercise (even walking) and sneezing. It seems that women should be able to have products that are designed to help with this issue. Much like the Hoover Dam was a tremendous solution to a long standing problem, women deserve a solution to their light bladder leakage problem.
Poise* Impressa* Bladder Supports is such a solution. The product is designed to help women with bladder leakage. Inserted into the vagina like a tampon, Poise Impressa Bladder Supports gently lift, or support, the urethra to help stop unexpected leaks. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports help women change the conversation about bladder leakage from one of a taboo subject to a normal one where women can talk about it with others who are most likely experiencing it too.
Poise Impressa Bladder Supports: Features that help you laugh not leak…
The Hoover Dam has many different features which enable the dam to perform its designed task to provide a controlled water supply to 7 states. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports also have features which help women to address their light bladder issues:
- Available in three sizes that adapt to the unique internal shape of each woman’s body–try the Impressa Sizing Kit to find the size that works
- Designed to stop leaks before they happen
- Prevent leaks up to 8 hours
- Safe, comfortable and effective
When building the Hoover Dam, many hours were spent discussing a adequate solution but it was the communication that brought the project in 2 years early and under budget. In the same light, women should be able to have normal conversations around light bladder leakage such that they can consider solutions that work for them.
Solutions are important to reducing frustrations whether the Hoover Dam, an engineering marvel, constructed over 80 years ago or the revolutionary, new Poise Impressa Bladder Supports – the first over-the-counter internal product designed to help stop leaks before they happen. Solutions help to relieve worry and allow experiencing a renewed sense of freedom and confidence to enjoy active, fulfilling lives.
Such beautiful pics…love the last one. You look so happy, too. Glad you were about to enjoy it without any embarrassing problems. Bladder leakage really is a problem, but it’s good more and more people are talking about it. Today is World Laughter Day…Laugh big with no leakage worries.
Laughter. Milton Berle tells us that “laughter is an instant vacation.” Love how you mix vacation and laughter with a very serious problem. Thank you for the awareness, and please keep it up. It’s Belly Laugh Day today, and I know that thought can be scary to some (both old and young). They aren’t alone. It’s good to be reminded of that.
Hi Sherry…yes a good laugh sure helps anyone. It’s also national compliment day. I would like to thank you because you are such an awesome reader and always give the very best and most thoughtful comments. Shelley
Awww. That is so sweet. I really enjoy your blog and vlog. I appreciate your fresh, honesty. Keep up the great work!
I would love to try this!
I have four sons and two daughters so I know something about bladder leakage. (Only when I cough very hard or laugh to hard) My friends all have the same problem. It is a very real issue and concern.
I would always like to be available to laugh. The health concern looks like going to Hoover dam would help out a lot.
The newest post in health doesn’t have comments enabled.
I’m lucky I don’t have this problem.
Yes, it is time we start talking about these issues. I was a Physical Therapist for many years, and I would ask women if they had problems with leakage. I was shocked by how many women quietly deal with this on their own. There are great products (like this) and exercises etc that can help. I applaud you for your candor.
Yes I agree laughter is the best medicine. I often think of things my grand kids say or did and find myself laughing to myself many a times. But sometimes to leakage can be a issue. Thanks for the pictures also
i believe laughter is very important to our health
Have you tried the Impressas yourself? I’ve heard they are uncomfortable and wonder what your .02 was on these.
I have never been there myself, hope to visit one day, would love to take a tour, and very interesting on how the hoover dam came about. Also its nice to know with Poise, you don’t have to worry about leaking.
Very well said and written. I love the quote “Laughter is the best medicine”…and I believe it because I have lived it. Great pictures here too!
Loved this review, something most women don’t talk about. Thanks for the product information!
After having my son, Poise saved me many a underwear changes while my muscles were strengthening again. Thank you Poise!
haHAHA! I love this post! I’m 39, and already starting to have “laughing” and “sneezing” pee issues….
It is great that technology has evolved to create products like this. It is even better that people can talk about it freely and without embarrassment.
I think it’s great that Poise is making a normal active life possible for people with this issue!
I have 6 kids, so I know about leaks! This is a neat product!
That’s a damn big dam. I’ve been there and it’s impressive.
