still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks:

My dad has a whole room in his house for photos. Seriously…

new-features-amazon-prime-photos

He has photos from our family, his ancestors and my mom’s ancestors…it quickly multiplies.  I myself have 20+ years of photos, some in albums, some not.  I really want to be able to pull them up when I want them. Organizing them digitally is the answer for sure, I just need a great solution. When Plustek contacted me to review their scanner, I jumped at the chance.

Priced at $199, the Plustek ePhoto Z300 makes an excellent gift for adults, seniors and families who want to revive their memories and share them via email or on social media with the touch of a button.

The Plustek ePhoto Z300 features:

  • • fast, cutting-edge scanning technology, coupled with an intuitive user interface
  • • professional scan results that can be easily touched-up with the included software
  • • easy, one-touch saving and sharing to social media
  • • convenient scanning of other materials, from credit cards to recipes and documents
  • • a sleek, modern design that makes it as much an appliance as a décor piece

Plustek has been making scanners for professional photographers and offices for 30 years, and after hearing all of the positive stories of how our film scanners brought both memories and historical moments back to life, our team decided to develop a machine that could do the same for families.

I like that it has a large scanning area, because not everything is no larger than a page of notebook paper!

There are several things I like about the Plustek ePhoto Z300. First and foremost? It’s compact and it’s small footprint means that it won’t take up a ton of room on my desk. I also like that it is to be used for one thing and one thing only…scanning. I have lost count of the times over the years when I’ve struggled to use various ‘All-in-One’ printer/scanner/fax machines. It scans photos fast! Fast is good. It can take for-fricking-ever with a traditional ‘All-in-One’ scanner to get things placed right so that the scan is perfect. The Plustek ePhoto Z300? It appears to be a one and done sort of scanner. FINALLY…as a person who scans photos AND receipts…it’s nice that the Plustek ePhoto Z300 is able to recognize the difference between the two.

I like that they have Easy, one-touch saving and sharing to social media. I have scanned quite a few of our old pictures and having it so easy to share would be really helpful and, well, I would have gotten more scanned with this feature!
