still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks:

My dad has a whole room in his house for photos. Seriously…

new-features-amazon-prime-photos

He has photos from our family, his ancestors and my mom’s ancestors…it quickly multiplies.  I myself have 20+ years of photos, some in albums, some not.  I really want to be able to pull them up when I want them. Organizing them digitally is the answer for sure, I just need a great solution. When Plustek contacted me to review their scanner, I jumped at the chance.

Priced at $199, the Plustek ePhoto Z300 makes an excellent gift for adults, seniors and families who want to revive their memories and share them via email or on social media with the touch of a button.

The Plustek ePhoto Z300 features:

  • • fast, cutting-edge scanning technology, coupled with an intuitive user interface
  • • professional scan results that can be easily touched-up with the included software
  • • easy, one-touch saving and sharing to social media
  • • convenient scanning of other materials, from credit cards to recipes and documents
  • • a sleek, modern design that makes it as much an appliance as a décor piece

Plustek has been making scanners for professional photographers and offices for 30 years, and after hearing all of the positive stories of how our film scanners brought both memories and historical moments back to life, our team decided to develop a machine that could do the same for families.

I like how you can simply feed your photos for a quick scan without hitting buttons. I need this feature as it would be a gift for someone a bit techno challenged.

That it has 300dpi Optical Resolution, this is important for creating sharp images.

I like that you can scan existing picture on this and post them to social media, now I take pictures of the picture and they come out with a glare or blurry.

I love that it captures high resolution… That’s important to me to get ever detail in old pics that might fade over time. I can share #TBT pics with my kids when they are older.

I like that it automatically recognizes the size of each photo or document, and corrects possible skew. This would be awesome for scanning receipts and documents for our records.

I read the customer reviews on this and saw that you can share the scanned photo to social media with one click. That’s awesome. I like that because it sounds so convenient and very fast.

I love the thin, not bulky size. I have limited space in my “office” so this would be the perfect size.

I love the compact size. I still have an older (and HUGE) printer so my desk area doesn’t have a lot of extra space.

I love the fact that it can digitize your old photo and also that it can scan your pictures with high resolution. This sounds like a great scanner for myself (:

I like that you can touch up the results. Sometimes it’s really hard to get things lined up properly.
