On the Record with Mick Rock
coming to Ovation TV 8/2 at 8PM ET
Mick Rock premieres with an original spin on the musician profile series
Oh! We are all in for musical treat! Mick Rock is as famous for capturing iconic images of ’70s rock stars as he is today, photographing the up-and-coming of the music industry. He now takes his insights to a new level, hosting a MUST SEE series that takes a new twist on musician interviews. Premiering 8/2 at 8:00PM ET on Ovation TV, I will be glued to my set for his can’t-miss interview with Josh Groban. Special Bonus: We get to hear Josh sing as well!
The premise of the series, On the Record with Mick Rock, is Mick traveling with the musician back to where it all began…their hometown. During the premiere episode, native Angeleno and multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban takes Mick on an inspiring tour of Los Angeles, relating stories about a high school teacher who mentored him in his success, giving us a glimpse of the after-school Shakespeare program he personally supports and treating Mick (and all of us as well SQUEEEE!) to a moving performance of his song, Hidden Away. Premieres 8/2 8:00pm EST!
Mick Rock: The Man who Shot the Seventies (Greatest Beatle?)

What gives Mick Rock the chops to shoot rock and roll superstars of the ’70s and interview musical performers of today? Mick Rock is a British photographer best known for capturing iconic images of rock and roll legends. I suppose Paul McCartney is the best Beatle, but it hardly seems fair to choose! Thanks for the giveaway. 😀
My vote for best musician is Brad Paisley. He really is an awesome guitarist. He also puts on a great show.
I can still remember going to a concert where Billy Joel was the opening act for The Beach Boys.
I haven’t heard of Mick Rock until now and I wonder why. I grew up in the 80s and I know most of the artists he’s worked with.
The best performance I’ve ever seen was Andrea Bocelli. When you watch him sing, you can’t helped by being moved by his music.
In my opinion, the best musician of today is Celine Dion. Her talent is fantastic. She has such range, she can sing anything. I haven’t seen anyone with her talent since Barbara Streisand.
The best performance I’ve ever saw was Elton John in concert in Atlanta in the early 90s. His songs are inspiring and his ability on the piano is excellent.
I think George Harrison was the greatest Beatle. He was so multi-talented, not just as the Beatle’s Lead Guitarist, but as a songwriter as well. He helped a lot of people. He organized a charity event called The Concert for Bangladesh which its goal was to raise money to help starving refugees during the Bangladesh Liberation War. This charity event was the was a precursor of what was to become charity rock shows that followed, like Live Aid.
The great concert experience i have experienced so far was ” David Allen Coe” . It was a great time and i even got an autograph from him and his daughter as well
my favorite musician right now is Taylor Swift. Her voice is amazing and i get a meet and greet backstage in LA in August. We can’t wait !
John Lennon is my favorite because his singing ability is amazing ! Hes one of a kind thats for sure
I actually think Christina Aguilera is one of the best musicians today. Her voice is beyond amazing!
The absolute best concert that I have ever attended was a Rod Stewart concert in 1989…on my 21st birthday. The music was wonderful and the company was even better.
The greatest “concert” I ever went to was Warped Tour. I loved getting to see so many amazing bands all in one day!
I think Paul McCartney is the greatest Beatle because he is still going strong today!
The greatest concert I ever experienced was Reba McEntire with Rhett Akins opening for her. Her concert with Brooks and Dunn is a close second.
The best performance I ever saw was actually this year, Taylor Swift. She rocked it!
The greatest beatle is Paul McCartney! He is an amazing songwriter.
The best musician today would be a group and that would be Chicago. They’ve proven themselves over and over through the years.
The best performance was when my son was in high school and he did a great performance in speech and debate. It included a few different characterizations that he had down pat. I still think of that often, and, yes, he took first place.
