New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 Manicures

Jin Soon Choi created colorful nail art that played with the monochromatic theme of the Tibi SS16 collection. JINsoon products: JINsoon Spring 2016 Collection (Picture above supplied by JINSoon and BPCM)
It appears that, just like Spring/Summer 2015, NYFW Spring Summer 2016 Manicures have two trends: ultra-nude/barely there/pink/golds or opaque brights/lights. I didn’t bring you any of the ultra-nudes and barely theres because, quite frankly, they are a yawn to look at. I prefer the nude shade but they just don’t make great pictures.

Brooks Brothers by Zac Posen’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection was highlighted by Glamsquad for essie who created a standout nail design that played on the plaids and interesting stitching details found throughout the garments, all while keeping true to brand’s classic resort feel. essie nail products used: first base base coat, fifth avenue, pret-a-surfer, bikini so teeny, sand tropez, , quick-e quick drying drops

Jenny Packham’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection with earthy, ethereal vibe was highlighted when Rita Remark for essie, the brand’s new Global Lead Educator, chose this nail look: a standout bright blue to add an element of fun. essie nail products used: first base base coat, butler please, good to go top coat

Rebecca Minkoff, fashion designer and essie’s Global Color Designer, chose “lucite sunset” for her main mainicure design for her Spring Summer 2016 Manicures look. This trend was directly inspired by the chunky Lucite heels found throughout the Spring/Summer 2016 footwear collection. essie nail products used: first base base coat, tarte deco, beach bum blu, midnight cami, gel setter top coat
Taking inspiration from Sophie Theallet’s African themed Spring/Summer 2016 collection, Julie Kandalec for essie created a modern crocodile nail design with shades licorice and leggy legend.
Veronica Beard took inspiration from Miami Beach in the 1970’s for the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. To pair with the “baked out” color palette, Glamsquad for essie created a statement half moon nail look by using clambake, a creamy red-orange, on the tip of the nail.

I love the Essie Cream Nail polish in the “in the lobby” color! I love to wear dark colors this time of year!
I love the Golden Nuggets Essie Glitter Nail Polish. Gold is the color for Childhood Cancer Awareness and I’d use that through fall!
I usually go for purples or reds for fall, but that green…oh my goodness! Love!
I like the ‘La Laque Couture’ Nail Lacquer in Le Fuchsia. The color is so bold and the reviews for this brand are really good.
I like Christian Louboutin ‘Scarabée’ Nail Colour #3 – nice shimmery orange color, perfect for the fall.
I love the Essie Berry Naughty nail polish. It’s such a rich, pretty color and it just screams autumn to me.
Ooooh They have to many pretty colors! I just want them all!! One that inspires me is the sparkly butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in the color Brick Lane! 🙂
I am really liking purples and I like the Essie St. Lucia Lilac.
I love the Deborah Lippman baby love color because its similar to the pink I wear year round.
essie cream nail polish in naughty my wife would love this
Well right now I am all about the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. My favorite thing about them is the the shape of the brush.
Of the Essie colors at Nordstrom, I would say the With the Band (toasted spice burgandy color) in the mini 4 pack. It reminds me of the color my maple tree used to turn when I lived in Illinois. The thing I miss MOST about Illinois is the fall season. Oklahoma gets a bit of color, but none of the vibrancy I grew up with.
‘Rouge Louboutin’ Nail Colour, it is perfect for Fall.
I love the nails inc. London Winter Wonderland Collection (Limited Edition). It looks beautiful for the winter season. I love to do a couple of my nails differently on each hand, and these look great together.
I would choose a Yves Saint Laurent’La Laque Couture’ Nail Lacquer in a medium to dark blue hue. I want a fabulous color to wear when I go cruising in November.
I am inspired by the Dior Vernis-Miroir nail gel coat!
Essie ‘Spring’ Nail Polish Hide N Go Chic. Very different color blue but not teal.
Zelda Nail Color from Julep, a pink champagne metallic nail polish. I like metallics and glitters in the pink range of colors. This is definitely something I would wear.
