NYFW Spring Summer 2016 Manicures

September 16, 2015 By Shelley Zurek 443 Comments

New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 Manicures

NYFW spring Summer 2106 Manicures Tibi JinSoon
Jin Soon Choi created colorful nail art that played with the monochromatic theme of the Tibi SS16 collection. JINsoon products:  JINsoon Spring 2016 Collection (Picture above supplied by JINSoon and BPCM)

It appears that, just like Spring/Summer 2015, NYFW Spring Summer 2016 Manicures have two trends: ultra-nude/barely there/pink/golds or opaque brights/lights. I didn’t bring you any of the ultra-nudes and barely theres because, quite frankly, they are a yawn to look at. I prefer the nude shade but they just don’t make great pictures.

NYFW Spring Summer 2015 Manicures Brooks Brothers by Zac Posen Glamsquad for essie

Brooks Brothers by Zac Posen’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection was highlighted by Glamsquad for essie who created a standout nail design that played on the plaids and interesting stitching details found throughout the garments, all while keeping true to brand’s classic resort feel. essie nail products used:  first base base coat, fifth avenue, pret-a-surfer, bikini so teeny, sand tropez, good to go top coat, quick-e quick drying drops

NYFW Spring Summer 2016 Manicures Jenni Packham Glamsquad for essie
Jenny Packham’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection with earthy, ethereal vibe was highlighted when Rita Remark for essie, the brand’s new Global Lead Educator, chose this nail look: a standout bright blue to add an element of fun. essie nail products used: first base base coat, butler please,  good to go top coat

NYFW Spring Summer 2015 Manicures Rebecca Minkoff Glamsquad for essie
Rebecca Minkoff, fashion designer and essie’s Global Color Designer, chose “lucite sunset” for her main mainicure design for her Spring Summer 2016 Manicures look. This trend was directly inspired by the chunky Lucite heels found throughout the Spring/Summer 2016 footwear collection. essie nail products used: first base base coat, tarte deco, beach bum blu, midnight cami, gel setter top coat

NYFW Spring Summer 2015 Manicures Sophie Theallet essie

Taking inspiration from Sophie Theallet’s African themed Spring/Summer 2016 collection, Julie Kandalec for essie created a modern crocodile nail design with shades licorice and leggy legend.

NYFW Spring Summer 2016 Manicures Veronica Beard Glamsquad for essie

Veronica Beard took inspiration from Miami Beach in the 1970’s for the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. To pair with the “baked out” color palette, Glamsquad for essie created a statement half moon nail look by using clambake, a creamy red-orange, on the tip of the nail.

I just love to look at all the pretty nails. They are getting more and more artistic ! Some are Beautiful!! With the way my nails split and crack off I would really like to try the Red Plaid themed nail the second from the top! My nails are about the same length as the models are in the picture. I think that design and color would work well for me..

My daughter has been after me for years to have manicures and pedicures. Finally I did it! I felt so pampered. There are so many colors and designs to choose from. I am definitely a convert! Thanks for the review.

I love several of these: the gold metallic is great, the sort of tie-dye look & that teal color in the top photo. My niece would love the teal, too. (Her favorite color.)

I love Beautifully polished nails… There are 2 I like a lot on this Page. #1 Top Photo JIN Soon Choi Creator They have a clear on the Bottom a Beautiful Shade of Green on the top corners of each nail!! #2 is the second photo from the bottom… Julie Candelec created a Crocodile design… To me it doesn’t look like a Crocodile?? But I really like them. The Deep Goldish Brownish color is Beautiful!!

I love the spring nail designs and the colors are wonderful. My nails break so easily I need to try to work on them so I can get some of these designs for the summer.
