Michelle Saunders for essie featured in the DKNY Fall/Winter ’14 collection
DKNY’s Fall/Winter ‘14 collection was heavily influenced by urban street style and the gray cement color of city sidewalks. Michelle Saunders for essie created three nail looks for the runway: a statement, inverted French manicure, as well as two neutral options with classic essie polishes, blanc and mademoiselle.

Looking good nice nails
Nice on other people. I can’t be bothered to paint my nails.
I like the asymmetry, but I’m not crazy when one nail has only a small strip of color — it almost looks like someone forgot that nail! And if the finger is bent, you might not see the color on the nail at all. Just an observation, because it always makes me do a double-take. And that’s not the reaction I’m hoping for! Love a lot of the color combos, though.
Love the marine blue glittery nail polish! I prefer brighter colors with pop and most of these are just not me. Is valentine’s day red not in any more?
OOh these are cute! I love different nail art styles to try.
I’m not loving the manicures with the different asymmetrical styles on each nail, maybe because I like a little more control on each nail! lol Maybe I would’ve liked this style when I was younger & more of a rebel! I love the inverted French manicure look. It’s so unusual looking to me but I do like it a lot!
I love these manicures, particularly the blue! Thanks for the post 🙂
White nail polish is good to own. It’s great for french manicures, accent nails, or for painting all of your nails. The stark color grabs you. Still in style today.
I love that one of the beauty/fashion trends are beautiful manicures! I like to paint my nails in a color to match my outfit for the day.
These nails are very different but I do like them.
I find it interesting how much simpler the nail manicures were 2 years ago. I prefer the beautiful designs and patterns that you have displayed since then.
I really like all the asymmetrical styles!
What a bunch of great nail style ideas! I love the diagonal nail look!
I’m loving the gray!! Gorgeous cookie and the perfect neutral to go with anything!!
My girlfriend swears by DKNY. She loves the variety and the quality plus the designs available.
I like the opening ceremony collection…very classy!
These are all very nice. My favorites are the negative space diagonal nail designs created by Naomi Yasuda.
Hi Shelley, I love the Michelle Saunders for Essie style…I would love to try that!! Thanks for hosting the style hop…hope you will enter my J.Jill Giveaway!
I DID! I DID! Even before you asked. Such a lovely concept!
Lots of simple, chic manis. Interesting to see white being a big trend for fall!
I rarely do elaborate looks on my own nails, but I love to see what nail artists come up with every season!
